Another thing that we like is the dish washing service, the host offer to do the dishes by just put dirty dishes in the service area and they will clean and put it back in the service area later. Our accommodation was a semi-detached house in a group of two, with a living room, bathroom, and kitchen on the ground floor, and two bedrooms on the first floor, all with nice wooden floors. There is plenty of space inside, plus a lovely terrace and a small garden outside. The house is located on a hill with a view of the valley. The driveway to the upper houses is steep and includes a 180-degree turn. We stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed it. Check-in was contactless and easy. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is also a washing machine and dryer, which are perfect for longer stays. All in all, it’s a very nice accommodation surrounded by nature that invites you to stay longer.

Set among Nikko’s peaceful forests and mountains, Nikko Park Lodge Mountain Side offers homely accommodation with free Wi-Fi just steps from hiking trails. Ken and Sei were amazing hosts. Extremely warm atmosphere nestled amongst the trees and mountains of Nikko. I enjoyed hiking in the morning by the river and caught the bus to the Kegon waterfalls. The shogun temple was beautiful.
