Beautiful retreat house with lovely amenities and wonderful staff. My room was very cozy and had a comfortable futon, with the most wonderful quilt/comforter I've ever used! I appreciated the provided tea & coffee bar, and enjoyed the relaxing Buddha room with tatami floors. I was sent a message by staff before my arrival, and they made sure my check-in was easy. I would love to book a longer stay next time to fully enjoy the space!

Our stay here, for a party of four, is, I must say, the highlight of our Wakayama travel, and a fitting end to my Kumano Kodo pilgrimage. We love the blueberry jam the owner, Mr Ura, makes, and the rice he grows. We love the sunrise from the patio. We could just relax here and not do anything. But with our car, we managed to drive to the coast, as well as to Nachi Fall. Mr Ura has been very concerned about making our stay comfortable and safe, right from giving us instructions on how to drive here, and avoiding driving in the dark, to welcoming us as well as seeing us off after we checked out .

It is an old style house, so as long as you aren't expecting Western/modern comforts, it's fantastic! My daughter called it the Totoro house. You will sleep on Japanese futons that you lay out on the tatami mats - if you've never slept on a futon it might feel uncomfortable/hard compared to Western beds. You will eat sitting on the tatami mats, but there are a couple of small Western chairs if sitting on the floor is difficut. The bathroom is Japanese style with the toilet in one section, the sink/vanity in a second section and the shower with separate furo (deep bathtub for soaking after washing in the shower) in the third section. It was not the most modern but all clean and more spacious than the Western hotel bathrooms we had other parts of Japan! There is a TV, wifi worked great and a bluetooth speaker to play music. There aren't a lot of "tourist" attractions nearby but it you want serenity this hits the spot - a few steps away has you walking among farming fields and the house is also close to the forest with a little stream running along side the road making for a peaceful but easy walk up the mountain. The gohan (rice) cooked in the old style stove was the best we ate our entire trip! Wish we had bought some of the local rice. It can get a little smoky when dinner is being cooked but my mild asthma was fine. The host, Hiro, is amazing, super accomodating and friendly, he introduced us to his shiba inu (dog) and his duck, and even though we didn't ask ahead, he prepped for us to make tofu - this experience was an extra fee but totally worth it! During the winter you can also request mochitsuki (pounding rice into mochi) and summer/fall you can make noodles (can't remember if he said soba, ramen or udon). Hiro's English is limited, but he's so engaging, we asked him to eat dinner with us and my daughter loved that...he has such good energy!

The Onsen! It had private hours for inn guests. I also appreciated the clean, modern cabin. Yusuke and the whole staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, even offering a shuttle to and from Koyasan twice per day. Beautiful valley. there is a bridge that allows you to get down to the rivers edge to enjoy the water.

Mountain Home Lodge in Deer Park se nachází ve čtvrti Nara Park v destinaci Nara. Nara vlakové nádraží je 3,3 km odtud a Iwafune Shrine 20 km. Na místě je dostupné bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách.... Good interaction with the deer right outside of the door

Fukurou se nachází v destinaci Kušimoto a nabízí ubytování s přístupem do zahrady. Shionomisaki Shrine se nachází 3,3 km odtud a Kushimoto Turkish Memorial and Museum 12 km. I really enjoyed the private access Onsen, available to sign up once a day. Perfect after biking around Kushimoto all day—I rented one of their electric assist bikes which made going up and down the local hills easier. Complete with helmet and cell phone holder. The room was very spacious and comfortable.

Fiore Shima se nachází ve městě Shima v regionu Mie, 5 km od vesnice Shima Spain, a nabízí sezónní venkovní bazén, gril a terasu. Na místě je soukromé neplacené parkoviště. Best ever resort experience in Japan! Close to nature and the Spanish theme park. Cabin in the woods was spacious and well maintained.

Hotel Morgenrot se nachází ve čtvrti Arima Onsen v destinaci Kóbe a nabízí výhled na město. Tosen Shrine je 500 metrů odtud a Gokurakuji Temple 70 metrů. Takový alpský hotel v Japonsku . Ubytování má své velké kouzlo . Dva Onseny v ceně pobytu , jukaty, ručníky , vše připraveno . Pecka . Dobrá restaurace na oběd součástí hotelu . Nečekejte žádné luxusní ubytování , ale účelně zařízený levnější hotel v úžasném místě, všude se dá dojít pěšky . Moc jsme si užili celou atmosféru tohoto města a lanovku na horu Rokko moc doporučuji . Cesta dle navigace k hotelu byla šílená . Na to pozor , dá se k hotelu dojet i po normální silnicí. Parkování u hotelu jsme velmi ocenili . Děkujeme za skvělý pobyt .

Koguchi Village by WhyKumano se nachází v destinaci Šingu a nabízí ubytování s klimatizací a bezplatným Wi-Fi. Kumanoshi Kiwakozan Museum se nachází 23 km odtud. The facility is charming! It is a wooden cottage in the middle of mountains with beautiful view. There is a river just next by, so if you get there early, you can refresh yourself there. The rooms are spacious and there is a place you can hang your wet clothes. There is also a common space where you can hang out with other guests. I also used it when my room-mate wanted to sleep and I was still working on PC. Very useful and convenient. There's very well working Wi-Fi, as well. The dinner was delicious. We had seasonal steamed vegetable with rice. They have vegetarian (tofu) and non-vegetarian (meat dumplings) version. For breakfast there were toasts with cheese, jams, peanut butter, yogurt, fruit etc. You can also prepare a meal for your next journey. The beds are comfortable and you have great view from windows. The kitchen is very well equipped and you can use it if you need. You can make yourself coffee anytime, which I very appreciated. The staff was friendly and very helpful. She could speak Japanese, English and Spanish, which was quite fun because all the guests there could also speak Spanish for some reason. :-D
