We absolutely loved our 3 nights at Kandalama Lodge. The staff are amazing and spoilt us especially Madushan i.e. Crazy ... Who over delivered in all aspects. Rooms are lovely and better than in photos. Outdoor bathroom fabulous. We ate in each night as the quality and presentation of our meals was exceptional. Pool area so clean and inviting. We really didn't want to leave as we felt so loved especially a birthday cake magically appeared

Booked for two nights, extended for four. One of my favorite stays in Sri Lanka! Beautiful teracce, spotless clean and modern rooms. Also, the price is great. We stayed in similar rooms in South which were 4x more expensive. It’s just 10min away from the centre and believe me - Kandy is much better outside the centre :D You can order your food there or just uber it. The host Harshana is wonderful. He has travelled/worked abroad and we had a lot to talk about. He helped with the visa extension too, very grateful for that. P.S. Don’t go trough the mountains, follow directions in booking.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Rock Shade Chalet – Sigiriya. The chalet was clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with a beautiful natural setting close to the main attractions. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

The view from the property was really good, we could see the Lion rock right from the property. A lovely homemade breakfast was served. One of the best stays during my Sri Lankan vacation.

Manike Lodge Habarana poskytuje restauraci, venkovní bazén, zahradu a terasu. Pidurangala Rock se nachází 13 km odtud. nice spacious room with porch facing the beautiful garden and pool. Property is run by very welcoming and nice family. We were warmly greeted. Very good breakfast, but too much for us, and they changed it according to our wishes. Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.
