The most beautiful views, wonderful and kind hosts who offered us fresh fruit juice upon arrival and helped with everything we needed. We were offered free tuk tuk lifts to and from Ella center. The breakfast was delicious. Clean and big room, comfortable bed and very nice mosquito net! There was even a kettle and an iron. I would definitely go back to this place. AMAZING

Delicious breakfasts are served on the balcony that has amazing views of the valley and the Mahamevnawa Monastery in the distance. Madusha is a lovely host, organising tuktuks on our request. We were so sad to leave and couldn’t recommend it more!

For our group of six occupying three rooms, this was a wonderful place we truly enjoyed. It’s located outside Ella, but the 6 km walk along the railway is easy and filled with great views; the train ride is also a memorable experience and highly recommended. The accommodation feels authentic, with beautiful vistas and the gentle sounds of nature and local life. The host and his family are extremely friendly and helpful; we always felt safe and welcome. The owner even took us to a nearby tea factory for a fantastic private tour. Breakfast was a typical local meal; we apologise again to the host for not fully appreciating it. We highly recommend booking this place – every morning here is magical! 😊

The bathroom is a true delight to behold! And the food, the staff—everything is simply amazing. I had read many glowing reviews before arriving and had high expectations, but this surpassed them all. It might not be the cheapest option in the area, but the experience is worth every single penny!

Arana Sri Lanka Eco Lodge and Yoga Center se nachází v Elle, 3 km od mostu Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, a nabízí zahradu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. We had a great stay at arana. Very relaxing location in the tree tops with stunning views. Rooms were beautiful, great WiFi & included a safe. We did the cooking class, yoga and meditation class and all were great. Breakfast also great. Staff were lovely.

This has been our best stay in Sri Lanka without doubt. Renu is an incredibly inspiring woman, mother and co-owner who will do everything in her power to make your stay intimate, comfortable and convenient. She puts an umbrella in front of your door when it rains; she looks out the window to see how far you are to prepare breakfast; she brings everything to your table and removes it quietly. Not to mention the room, with its high double roofed ceiling that makes you feel like you’re in a nest on a treetop. It’s spacious, spotless clean (no sign of dump despite daily rain in Ella) and everything works perfectly, even though it’s literally a hanging cottage. The view from the bed/balcony is breathtaking and different every day, and you even see the famous train passing at your feet. DIGITAL NOMADS: we had quite good wifi, enough for videocalls most times of the day, but bring a sim card with data just in case.

We had an amazing experience with Kamal during our stay From the moment he picked us up, he went above and beyond to ensure our trip was special. Kamal guided us to Diyaluma Falls, and drove us to the Halpewatte Tea Factory, and.. He was incredibly kind, attentive to details, and always made sure we were comfortable. What really stood out was Kamal’s thoughtful planning—he shared invaluable tips to help us avoid crowds and enjoy peaceful moments at each destination. He patiently waited for us, gave us plenty of time to explore, and was never in a rush. His friendly attitude, local insights, and very reasonable pricing made the experience truly memorable. We highly recommend him to anyone visiting Ella! At the same time he was not pushing us to anything we did not want to do! We also did the cooking class they offer which was also amazing local experience.
