The beds were comfortable and the shower hot and powerful but what really makes this place special is the amazing family that runs it. Everyone was so lovely and they helped us organise a safari in the nearby Udawalawe National Park where we got to see loads of elephants, water buffalos and countless species of birds. Our driver was super nice, knowledgeable and spoke great English. If you have time, we highly recommend you also join in with one of their cooking classes and learn how to cook traditional SriLanken dishes. So delicious!

Great hospitality, and prime location to Udawale national park, and just down the road (3 min drive) from the Elephant Transit Home. The room was just like the pictures, and the surrounding forest and river are magical. We even encountered some monkeys on the property which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was filling and delicious, a combination of traditional Sri Lankan sweets and breakfast foods with fruit. The owner and workers are incredibly courteous, offered some good safari deals, and even showed us some of the cinnamon, curry leaves, and pepper plant which are all on their property. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the area! Extremely reasonable price.

Guests at Peacock Riverside Eco Lodge can enjoy fishing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. Staying with Sujee was a delightful experience ! We had the chance to stay in the middle of the jungle between trees and a river flowing by. The room was super clean and comfortable and Sujee’s wife prepared the best Sri lankan diner for us. A true peaceful peace of heaven. We also did a Safari with Sujee who know his Udawalawe park by heart and can guide you the best to see the most of animals !

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Private and surrounded by lovely gardens, this property is run by a wonderful young couple who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The bungalow was spotless and the verandah a tranquil place to relax. And the breakfasts - amazing!

Fantastic place to stay, from the hosts to the actual room, to the location...We have only beautiful things to say. Communication with the owner was very easy and quick. The amenities were great. The room was wonderful & clean. Safari was Amazing. We could see so many Animals. Such as Sri Lankan leopards, deer, wild boar, water buffalos, crocodiles & a large number of varying Birds species (eagles, parrots, owls, and peacocks....) We had a great experience with the Oasis Wild Cottage. We definitely plan to return to OWC!

We saw the evaluations for nature glow had, and it turned out they were 100% accurate. They organized a driver to pick us up and Ella and drive us to their magical accommodation. There are two accommodation villas located on a rise of land above a small creek entering a larger river. It's very much in the jungle with wildlife abounding. The air conditioning, which was important to us worked very well, and the bed, room and bathroom were all very good. Our hosts arranged for a safari driver for the two of us. The next morning we are up early and went on Safari in the national park. We saw many many elephants, both solo and in groups of females with their babies. And we also saw a variety of other wildlife. For us Sri Lankan food was a new experience. I fully recommend that you arrange to have your breakfast and dinner at the villa. The dishes were authentic and delicious. We were treated to a variety of different Sri Lankan food. Our host were wonderful people. They took pride and doing everything possible to make our stay as comfortable enjoyable and interesting as possible.
