You won't regret staying at Isov Ranch if you want an authentic experience and a feeling of home and family. I was the only guest the night I stayed there. I was doing the Balkan Peaks trekking route. When I arrived I had a small paper message welcoming at the door. And when I entered and met the owner there was another lady I saw during the hike that day, but she was not staying there. We had some tea, and when she left I tried to say some Montenegrian words I had noted down, and we started an exchange of our languages, which was nice. Dinner was at his family house, nearby, and when I went out for it I noticed the most beautiful night sky full of stars. Don't miss out on that. Dinner was delicious and I felt really welcomed, we laughed a lot together. During the night I felt a bit sick, probably from something I had on Doberdol or for eating too much that night, and in the morning I was still not 100%. They cooked a traditional and delicious breakfast that I was sad I couldn't eat properly, but I took some as packed lunch for the hike. They let me rest for a while on their sofa to get better and gave me tea. They weren't sure I should hike that day and suggested I stay one more night, but I felt better so I decided to go, even though I felt sad for leaving them. The food was amazing best food on the trail. Agron and his family were very hospitable and welcoming to us. They taught us a lot about the history of the Balkan food and the peak of the Balkan trail.

Everything is neat and clean. The food is fantastic, homemade, delicious. The hosts are ten, the whole family is involved in serving the guests. A big plus is that each room has its own bathroom, which is not usual for this type of accommodation in cottages. I liked the novelty, riding horses and visiting the most beautiful national park Prokletije. All recommendations for Eko Katun Hako. 🍀⛰️☀️
