A peaceful and wild escape near the Atlantic
I had a wonderful stay at Draaihoek Lodge & Restaurant. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. The chef is truly talented — dinner and breakfast were both excellent, with impeccable service throughout.
My room was very spacious, perfectly comfortable, and set in a peaceful natural environment. The lodge is nestled just behind the dunes — you can’t see the ocean from the rooms, but a short walk through the dunes (where you might spot springboks!) brings you to a stunning viewpoint over the Atlantic. From there, I saw dolphins, seabirds, and even whales. The beach itself is wild, full of charm and birdlife.
This is a hidden gem, ideal for a quiet getaway or a family retreat when the weather gets warmer. Highly recommended!

Location was perfect for us. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful. Look, its not the Ritz, but if you want a traditional B and B with great hosts, then this is perfect. Also it is amazing value for money.
