Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Absolutely perfect and beautiful hotel. Our stay was amazing and the chalets are fantastic! Everything is very clean, the food is outstanding and the staff is extremely friendly!

Sophia and Luc were incredible hosts. They’ve done a fantastic job with the family lodge we stayed at. Simple, modern decor with a gorgeous garden and easy access to the river. Couldn’t recommend more.

The villa and luxury tent were great to stay in and we all slept well! We were close to nature and saw a lot of animals in our short stay, we should have booked for longer! It is a perfect location for a family or business event. Breakfast was prepared in the villa by the breakfast team and everyone loved it! The wood fired hot tubs are great too!

The room was spacious&clean and had an amazing view to the river. The nature around was beautiful. The whole experience felt really private. We booked a guided tour and a game drive which was also very private. The ranger who ran the activities was simply wonderful. He shared his deep knowledge in flora & fauna, we really enjoyed our time with him. We saw a variety of animals, not only on the guided tours but as well as just walking around property. The value for money is just insanely good. +The food was delicious! Best wishes to Dean & Fay who really cared to make our time at the lodge memorable. Would love to come back. Thank you!

The position of this hotel, right on the best beach of Jeffreys Bay, allows visitors the luxury to walk barefoot (50 m) from their room to the Ocean. And what a spectacular sunrise from the balcony! The atmosphere at the Surf Lodge is very jolly and relaxed at the same time, and they offer plenty of activities for their visitors (surfing but not only that). Definitely not my last visit :-)
