Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. I had a wonderful time at Riverside Guest Lodge. The breakfast was delicious and the service was outstanding. I’d happily stay again!

The restaurant was quaint, offering delicious ostrich specialties...as we are in ostrich capital of the world! However, what truly set this experience apart was the hospitality of Len, Hennie, Leigh-Vonne and all staff. They didn’t just welcome us—they created a genuine sense of connection, making us feel like more than just travelers passing through. Genuine, warm ...ánd fun! They made all the difference, turning a great stay into an unforgettable one.

Restaurant, staff and grounds were all immaculate. The area is remote and quiet. The accommodations here make the trip worthwhile! The service by all the staff was incredible.

From the moment we arrived, Richard went above and beyond to make our visit truly special. He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
