When you arrive, you get greeted immediately, and staff would help you with your luggage to the room. The rooms are all beautiful, and the drives are fantastic. I was very happy about how mindful our guide (Cathy) was towards the animals (If there were other cars near a certain animal, we would try to come back later. She kept good distances), and how knowledgeable she is. She tried to really find all the animals (except leopard, as they would be exceptional to find). I would really recommend staying 2 nights, so you have enough game drives to also go and see the giraffes (they live further away in the reserve). The dinner is fantastic, the breakfast is fantastic, and the morning coffee with a view of the elephants really ties everything together (they also live in the big reserve, but tend to come into view in the morning). The staff is all really nice, and the spa treatments are not too expensive.

Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. Charming place, very clean. The hosts are great, everything was perfect. Highly recommend it!

Abigail is absolutely amazing, professional and friendly and only wish we had more time with her. Beautifully decorated rooms, bathrooms, eatery and pool area welcomes you with super comfortable beds and sun lounge. Location for us is exactly what we needed ie being close to a shopping centre for some last minute buys and equally close and easy access to the airport. All while being surrounded by gorgeous vineyards for good measure. We will be back to South Africa again soon and we certainly will stay here again. Heads up, book well in advance to not miss the gem as it will get booked out quickly in high and mid seasons.

This is a stunning place to stay, just outside of Plett. The staff could not do more to make you feel at home and assist you, especially Siso. And the quality of the food is exceptional. Would 100% recommend
