Pool Port Douglas Resort offers a selection of elegant, modern apartments, all spacious, self contained and nestled around a glittering, 185 metre central swimming lagoon. We had a wonderful stay in a 2-bedroom swim-out apartment, which was perfect for our family. The space was thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a little further out of town, but we appreciated the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A real highlight was the excellent café just a short walk away, serving delicious breakfast and lunch with beautiful river views—we went every day. We also loved relaxing on our patio each afternoon and stepping straight into the pool.

Overall, a great place to stay and we’d happily come back.

Set on over 140 acres of native forest and boasting a private beach, Thala Beach Nature Reserve is an Eco-friendly wildlife retreat. Loved the privacy of the bungalows. It was peaceful and serene.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, the terrace was a real luxury, and the entire space was spotless and so well equipped. The swimming pool was massive and absolutely fabulous—such a lovely extra touch that made our stay even more relaxing. We’ve traveled to many countries and stayed in countless places, and I can honestly say this is up there with the best. Communication was excellent throughout—our host was always quick to respond, even to my smallest questions, and that level of attentiveness made our stay feel extra welcoming. The location is also perfect, with a stunning beach just a short walk away. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!

One of the best accommodations I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was perfect. You could tell the owner has a great taste in design. Renovated very recently. Extremely clean. Kitchen fully equipped and very modern. Bathroom was luxurious. Very kid friendly with cot and high chair, our one year old loved the place. Right in the middle of town walking distance to all the restaurants and cafes but no issues with noise. Vanessa replied to all messages within minutes. Highly highly recommend.
