The living room was nice to relax in a rainy day. The room was big and clean. Would definitely stay again.

It's off the main road on the far side of the river from Roxburgh which makes it very peaceful. We would stay again when next time in NZ.

Opened in January 2017, the adults only Cromwell Escape is located 3.7 km from Central Otago District Council in Cromwell and only 100 meters from the new Lake Dunstan cycle trail. Cromwell Escape features free WiFi access. The owners were friendly and helpful. The rooms are excellent. Being by a small sheltered arm of the lake was an added bonus for bird watching and paddle boarding. Kayaks were also available. A BBQ area was available. A spa and small pool were available. Bike and walking tracks were nearby. Close to Cromwell for many restaurant choices when not using the BBQ.

We've lately been staying places where check-in/check-out are done via messages and door codes, and it was so lovely to speak with local people who could greet you, help you find activities, and recommend places to eat. So refreshing.
