Set on 2 acres of gardens featuring native trees, tulips, roses and fruit trees, the spacious grounds include a covered BBQ area with picnic tables. Our room is large and clean. About a 10 minute walk to the town center. We had to change our itinerary because the road to Franz Josef was closed at Haast Pass due to slips and slumps. I was having trouble reaching our next hotel to let them know we would arrive a day late. Mark very kindly lent me his landline to use. Mark and Jacqui are wonderful hosts!
