What an amazing place to stay! 😍 From the welcoming to our departure, our hosts were super welcoming and cute! The rooms were exactly as we imagined them and also very clean. Amazing place and unforgettable memories of staying here! Everything starting from a warm welcoming with green tea served, yukata given, kaiseki dinner was perfect! Wonderful room in Japanese traditional style with incredible garden view and a balcony with a massage chair, relaxing hot springs - all of this we will keep as the greatest memory from the ryokan! Founded in the 12th century and beloved by Junichiro Tanizaki and other Japanese novelists, Tosen Goshobo is the oldest of the hot-spring inns at Arima. The hotel room was different from any hotel we had ever been. Very Japanese typical style. Everything was provided. There was even a massage chair for our private use. In the evenings while we were at dinner, the staff set up the futon beds which were very comfortable to sleep in. Before bed, we ordered Shiatsu massages, which were exceptional. The food was good! Breakfast was definitely typical Japanese style. The Onsen was amazing. The water felt so healing.

We only stayed for one night, but the experience was very authentic and enjoyable. The owner was super friendly and she even spoke some French. She’s the fourth generation owner! All of the onsen were very close and the owner provided us with an authentic bath robe. It was only a one minute walk to the ropeway. The breakfast area was a minute away as well and very accommodating.

The location was prime, the staff were immaculate in every way. They were so kind and helpful with anything we inquired about. The room was spacious and beds were so comfortable. Loved the traditional Japanese breakfast! The feel all around was so inviting and warm.

Outstanding service, all staff were amazing! The room was stunning, offering everything you could possibly need was at your fingertips. Would highly recommend spending the extra for a room with private onsen - it was heavenly.

The food was fantastic. A sensory experience beyond imagination. Every grain of rice, every dish, every drop of wine shows the chef's passion and skill in cooking.

Awesome place with a beautiful decoration and style. The room was great with a classic japanese style and the Yukatas were perfect. The dinner and breakfast were incredible, we enjoyed everything they served. The possibility of using several public bath on the whole town was a really nice experience.

Boasting an open-air hot springs bath and spacious garden, Arima Grand Hotel is located a 10-minute walk away from Arima Onsen Station. Free WiFi is available in all rooms. Amazing hotel. Not a cheap one, but it is definitelly worth the money. We definitelly recommend to take a room with a view, seeing mountains in the morning was wonderful. We didn't have a ryokan-type room but were still amazed by the quiality of everything - cleanliness, design, etc. Our room had a capsule coffee machine, a set for drinking tea, hair brushes, hair pins and other small things that added a pinch of comfort to our stay. The hotel also provides guests with Japanese-style clothing: a set of a "shirt" and pants, and a yukata. You can walk in it everywhere in the hotel which was very nice. The hotel has public onsens on two floors, both have open-air baths. The staff is very understanding and would help with the rules of visiting. You can also book private onsens that turned out to be not very expensive. Sometimes the hotel holds special events. We managed to visit stargazing and saw Jupiter through a telescope while eating sweet potatos! The hotel provides a bus that regularly travels through the Arima village. You can also call the hotel to pick you up. The village itself is very beautiful. There is a ropeway to the nearby mountain. I heard you can also hike to the summit.
