Exotický resort uprostřed Nilu na ostrově nedaleko centra města Aswan. 28 akrů upravených zahrad s nádherným výhledem na Nil, hory a město Aswan. The property was AMAZING! I am so glad we found this place, it was the perfect place to come to after a busy couple of days in Cairo ☺️ We loved everything. The food was delicious, the whole place was super clean, and the staff were so kind and helpful. Our room was also upgraded which was a real treat! The bed was comfy and the room was very spacious. Our veranda was overlooking the Nile River so we got to see an amazing sunset. There are also shops on site which were perfect as we did not have time to go into town to do any shopping. I bought perfumed and oils and the lovely shopkeeper was so helpful. If we are ever able to come back to Aswan we will definitely stay here again. A big thanks to Christine for making our stay memorable 😊

Our stay at Dolly Kato was nothing short of magical. Nestled at the heart of a Nubian village, this property offers a genuine cultural immersion that is truly unforgettable. The room's decoration was charming and reflective of the local culture, while the balcony provided breathtaking views of Aswan and the Nile. Watching the serene beauty of the Nile from our balcony was an experience we will cherish forever. The staff at Dolly Kato went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Their hospitality was unmatched, and they were always ready to assist us. When we needed to leave early for a trip to Abu Simbel, they thoughtfully prepared a breakfast box for us. The range of activities they offer, such as the boat ride and the drive to Abu Simbel, were not only reasonably priced but also of high quality. One of the highlights of our stay was the Nubian party with live music hosted by the property. The lively atmosphere and the enchanting music made the evening an unforgettable experience.

The rooms are very unique with domed ceilings, the showers are hot (which has been hard to find on our trip), and Omar is a very communicative host. Omar is also a great cook and eating breakfast and an extra dinner at the guesthouse was great. The beds are also comfortable and rooms cool. While the guesthouse is on an island, the ferry only costs 10 EGP / person (December 2024) and leaves often. Then it’s a few minute walk to the guesthouse, really simple and easy.

The perfect place with everything you need for a visit to Abu Simbel. Ashraf and his family are extraordinary hosts. They can provide a spectacular dinner or a delicious breakfast. We skipped dinner as we were coming back from a long trip, and it was great to rest and recharge our batteries for our visit to the Temple of Ramses II early the next day, practically free of tourists. The town is very quiet and safe. Thank you so much for everything.

The location on the west bank, what for me was more interesting, is a small village, relax place and great view for Nile and the city. Super easy to go to the city by ferry boat, 10 Egyptian pounds, super cheap, working all day
