Fantastic villa, only 4 villas very spacious clean and Private, the staff are amazing and really take an interest in looking after you. Food was very good with good variety. We will be back with a few more friends and family. Someone commented about the road in, and how bad it was, it’s actually not to bad as far as Sumba goes, we hired a scooter from the Villas and really explored the area. We would have stayed loner but unfortunately they were booked out. 5 nights was not long enough.

Stéphane took us for a dawn patrol surf sessions with the quads, and spent a lot of time with us on the evening ☺️. We will definitely come back!

Praikamarru Home Stay is located on the edge of a traditional village. Here you can see the Ikat weaving process, beautiful Marapu traditions and architecture and general village life. Eddy, the host has a lot of knowledge he can share because he grew up there. The room has views over the horce racing track. It’s very clean and comfortable.

Naprosto fantastické. Vše předčilo naše očekávání. Záměrně jsme tentokrát vybírali místo mimo město a přímé pobřeží. Ubytování je v nádherném stylovém (a tradičním) domě, ve kterém naleznete vše, co potřebujete. Z ubytování je výhled na kopce a moře. Hostitelkou je Imelda, která se o nás se svým týmem výtečně postarala. Jak lidé, tak místo nás silně oslovilo a pokud se budeme vracet na Sumbu, určitě sem.

This place on Sumba is truly unlike anywhere else I have ever been. If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat on a remote island with incredibly kind locals, this is the perfect spot. Secluded does not mean lacking in service—the host made sure everything was well provided. Delicious breakfasts are served by the friendly staff, and you can also order lunches and dinners to your villa, all of which are of excellent quality. The island itself has surprisingly good roads, so you can rent a practically new scooter on-site and enjoy exploring the entire island while taking in stunning views. The host is exceptionally warm and makes you feel at home from the very first moment. And if you still need to work while away, each villa is equipped with reliable Wi-Fi. A hidden gem on a hidden island—I can’t recommend it enough.

Umarato Villa Sumba se nachází v destinaci Rua a poskytuje venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge a terasu. It takes about 1.5 hour from the nearest airport. In a secluded area. But when we arrive, we are greeted with such amazing view! Nice property, secluded and tranquil. We are facilitated with full service, and our children comfort is well taken care off. They are super happy because they can harvested their own vegetable to table. They are building new properties, single unit villas with their own private pools and facilities. Perfect for future romantic escape. Not to forget to mention their exceptional restaurant, Umanga'a. We have a top notch dinning experience celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. We would love to going back to Umarato in our future holiday.

Hars Garden Sumba se nachází ve Waingapu a má zahradu. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. Vlastní koupelna je vybavená sprchou. Everything! It was clean, and the bathroom was spacious! So cool how Hars is building everything himself on his property. The view of the mountains is just… wow! I stayed for two nights, but I easily could’ve stayed longer. Breakfast was also delicious, with fresh fruit from the garden! The fact that there’s no air conditioning might take some getting used to, but I slept really well — the breeze flows nicely through the room thanks to the way it’s built. I’m very curious to see how things will look in a few years with all the plans Hars still has. It’s hard to imagine this place becoming anything but a hidden gem!
