Extraordinary settings, it was the most unusual place we stayed during our trip throughout Japan. The rooms were clean and had everything you need, the beds in the shared rooms were surprisingly spacious and the staff was very kind and attentive.

Hotel around TAKAYAMA, an Ascend Collection Hotel se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Hida Takayama Onsen v destinaci Takajama. Friendly staff, secure luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, great location very close to the train and bus stations. Everything was very pretty and modern. We really enjoyed the public onsen which was really clean and had all the amenities. For a small extra charge, you can also make a reservation for the private onsen at the reception. Highly recommend! One of the best places we stayed in Japan.

Everything was fine :) The personel was kind and helpful. The view from the room and from private onsen was really pretty.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Guest House Ouka offers everything you would expect from a well-run guesthouse. The reception staff speak fluent English, which made the check-in process smooth and easy from the start. The dorm rooms are large and very spacious, with plenty of room to organize luggage. Each guest has a big locker and a dedicated space to hang clothes, which is very convenient. The shower facilities are also spacious and spotless, and the kitchen and common areas are equally clean and comfortable. Overall, it offers excellent value for money and is a perfect choice for staying in Takayama.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. Everything about this accomodation was exceptional. They tried very hard to provide perfection.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. This is an Onsen Paradise!! Is like the Onsen amusement park! The place is incredible! So many services!! Everything is just amazing; the town, the hotel, the room, the baths… they even allow you to check the bath of another hotel, in case you did not have enough! I have been in many Ryokan and this was TOP!
