This hotel was amazing. I've lived in Japan and traveled for a long while but this hotel was so large and comfortable, something rare with hotels in Japan. The price was perfect and had the same standards as a five star hotel.

A short walk to Nishiki market and everything else is in walking distance. Room was spacious and had everything we needed, staff were lovely. We will definitely stay here next time we’re in Kyoto!

Lovely hotel short taxi ride from the station with very comfortable beds. Room was a good size beautifully laid out and spotless. Staff were very good, advised us where to go for dinner and also where to catch the local bus from to go to Amanohashidate spit and cable car. Happy to arrange for a taxi when we checked out to ensure we caught the train. Hotel is across the road from a shopping center.

Hotel is beautiful, clean, and staff was wonderful. The restaurants in the hotels arereally good. The 7 eleven next door is very convenient. The onsen and sauna are to great amenities to use after a long day of excursions.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and had a tea table and a couch. It even had an area/room for the luggages/wardrobe. the toilet was big- a vanity area, separate toilet, shower and a bathtub tub.We booked a 3 single beds corner room which was very comfortable. Absolutely spacious and well thought of design. The breakfast was a good variety of western and Asian cuisine, and had fresh salad, and they also served food that’s locally grown/farmed. Hotel was also environmentally conscious providing refillable stainless water bottles and a water filling station on each floor. The bath products provided were also organic and gentle on the skin and hair. The location was perfect! It is right next to Takashimaya and approx 70 meters away from the main crossing. It’s on the quieter side of the busy area. There is a small grocery on the ground floor selling local and home grown food, and many organic fruits and veggies. The hotel also has a few restaurants. We were only able to try Roku- a ramen place and we really liked it. The patisserie in the hotel was always full- many locals also go there for dessert/tea time. Across the hotel is a famous gyoza place called Chao Chao which always had a long queue. This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan! I’ve been to Japan many times and I highly recommend this if you’re going to Kyoto and want to be centrally located. I will stay in this hotel again when I go back to Kyoto. The staff are very helpful, warm and friendly. They helped me in making a reservation for the airport bus from Kyoto to Kansai airport in Osaka. They also booked a van taxi for us since there were 3 of us with luggages.
