We stayed only one night at the beginning of the season in Kalpitiya, and we had a great stay here. The chalets are spacious, modern and super clean, the bathrooms were huge as well. The courtyard had also a great vibe with the sand and the palm trees providing some shade. The staff were super friendly and accommodating - we also had breakfast here and coffee, both were great choices.

Roshan, his family, and his staff provided an exceptional experience. They helped arrange transportation both to and from their resort. The food was exceptional and exceeded all expectations and included fresh salad with dinner as well as a protein option and local cuisine that was home cooked. The room was clean, spacious, and beautiful. The safari experience was great, and our driver made sure we saw as many animals as possible. We traveled with a little kid and we also appreciated that our daughter had his daughter to play with.

The host and cook is amazing and he makes delicious meals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is partially open air which was really cool. The hammocks and tables made it a peaceful haven. The pool was still being made when I went but it will be a really nice addition. I highly recommend this place.

We had a great time at this guesthouse in Wilpattu - not far from the National Park. Great to meet Roshan and his team; they really try to fulfill all of your wishes and more. A very warm welcome and time with them. Food was excellent !! and such a big variety; thanks also for arranging our Safari with an experienced guide. You can see monkeys at the edge of the property, there are friendly dogs, ducks... cows around when you go for a walk. Mangoes growing on top of your bungalow...

Jessie, the manager, is doing his job with a strong sense of responsibility, Ansalees and other employees are highly professional and kind. Hotel boat can take you to the beach. The place is very popular for kitesurfers and the beach was very windy during my stay, but you can relax perfectly at the hotel pool. The atmosphere there is idyllic. Food was really tasty.

The owner is very helpful and interesting to talk too, they have done a great job of keeping the place part of the jungle. They organised a safari for us which was really nice we didn't see too many other jeeps and even managed to see a leopard.

The owners Dinesh and Shibi share their home with travellers and make them feel more than welcome, caring for your every need and making sure you have a wonderful time. I unfortunately was sick when I was there so I couldn't make use of the bicycles and kayaks, but I also enjoyed my time resting with a stunning view over the lagoon. The food is fresh and delicious, always made from scratch. Definitely recommend to stay at Anawasal!
