The pool, the garden, the lovely evening lights. the beautiful cooked fresh food, the garden butterflies all added to the restful experience at Cat Bà Papillon. The staff were helpful in organising collection from any point on the Island and organising onward transfer to Hanoi. As a solo traveller, I felt safe comfortable and looked after very well. Excellent value for 1 person and even better value for 2 persons. Lovely stay and lovely people

You’re basically paying for the location here, and the room’s a solid bonus. Clean, comfy, and the shower actually has decent pressure. Staff were super helpful too. Pretty hard to complain for the price.

It was lovely and clean, super quiet too and the pool so delightful after a long day in the sun! The host was lovely and even after we miss booked the room, she let us stay in the one we thought we had booked at no extra charge! She also let us have an early check in and later check out too which really accommodated to our bus times!! Lovely owner. The breakfast included was fab too. Had a wonderful stay would highly recommend!

This stay at Ecorest Villa has been one of the best decisions of our trip! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us as part of the family. Because they weren't fully booked during low season (there was a typhoon during our stay), they offered us a free upgrade of the room, which meant that we had 3 bedrooms with huge beds for the 2 of us, and a lovely sunset view. If we wanted to, we could've even switched rooms for free during our stay. The villa is absolutely beautiful, with all the plants and the stairs leading up to the rooms. The staff helped us with everything: renting motorbikes (delivered to the hotel), booking a taxi, even offering to take us on a tour of the island for free. We joined them for dinner twice, where we had the most delicious local food - AND a lot of fun with drinks, dancing and karaoke. At the checkout, we wanted to give them a tip for the amazing service and dinners, but they refused to accept this and instead insisted on a discount. Thank you to our amazing host for making our time on Cat Ba Island very memorable!

The location is awesome. The hotel is located in the second row, which is perfect because in the first row is a lot of loud construction work ongoing. The staff and the breakfast were also perfect.

The lady who runs the hotel is nothing but kind and helpful! Helped us get a good deal on a day trip and always made sure we had what we needed in the room. The free breakfast was great (toast with butter and jam, fruit and coffee one morning and egg Bahn Mi, fruit and coffee the next). Would 100% reccomend here as it has everything you need for a great price in a great location!
