It is close to the Kruger entrance and they offer complimentary safari which is amazing. The food is great, the tent perfectly suited and beds are very comfy. We will be back !

We left feeling like we were leaving our family behind. front desk was fantastic and always so kind to answer our many questions. The food was delicious. They offer massages that were fantastic! The best part about this entire experience were the safari guides.they are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs here and they really want the guests to enjoy each ride and get to see the animals they’re most excited about. I highly recommend this lodge for your stay. With this private lodge you get more up close and personal with the animals but with safe distance. We stayed 4 days and saw the big 5 which was really amazing.

Ngalali Retreat se nachází v přírodní rezervaci Grietjie, 26 km od brány Phalaborwa do národního parku Kruger. Wonderful location in Greater Kruger, Xander, Lorenza, Elly, Helen and all other staff were so welcoming and friendly. Organized tours were excellent, Everybody has great knowledge about the area and wildlife, we learned a lot. Also the sundowners were so nice and we had a lot of fun. The rooms were also lovely, every room decorated with love and attention and, very important, equipped with comfortable beds. As one of the few fenced lodgings in the area it was ideal for our 8 year old as she could play in the sand while we were in between the tours without having to watch her all the time, she also had a wonderful time and is still talking about it. Last but not least the food, the wonderful homemade food...I both love Italian food and South African meat/braai and you get it all during your stay, paired with an exceptional breakfast it left just nothing more to wish for. Thank you for providing us with an unforgettable stay.

This was the safari experience of a lifetime. We loved our twice a day game drives with Dan and saw all the big five in just a three day stay. The staff was incredible! The elephants came to visit the pool every single day we were there. I got a fantastic massage at the spa. I was most surprised at the quality of the food—top notch with great options. And they even made a special romantic dinner for us since we were on our honeymoon.

Situated in Manyeleti Game Reserve, Buffelshoek Tented Camp offers a garden and barbecue. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. This was the most magical trip and we highly recommend Buffelshoek Tented Camp! Dudley and Lynn are so amazing in welcoming guests and making the stay absolutely amazing. The guides for the game drives are fabulous! Both Beckson and Elvis were so committed to making sure we saw all that we wanted to, even if it meant driving across the reserve! We saw the big 5 and so much more! We had shared that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they helped make it such an incredibly special day for us. On that evening we also had an elephant visit the camp! Wow!! This was definitely a bucket list trip for us and it far surpassed what we dreamed it was going to be!

A special experience was staying at the Lion Tree Top Lodge in the Greater Kruger Park. At night you hear the lions roar, the hyenas call and the monkeys jump on the roof and terrace of your lodge. In the morning while you are under the outdoor shower you see the impalas and springboks pass by. During the day with a nice glass of wine by the pool you see the zebras drinking from the pond nearby. And close to the resort you can see the giraffes walk. A very special experience to see all those animals pass by your lodge. In the evening we had a very nice meal around the cozy campfire in the boma together with the super sweet hosts Brian and Lynn. The lodges are beautiful and equipped with all the necessities, separated from each other by wooden paths that provide the necessary privacy. So the resort seemed all to yourself. No mass tourism here like with the accommodations in the Kruger Park. In short, a real African bush experience in this small-scale, cozy resort, which was a highlight of our road trip through South Africa, thanks in part to Brian and Lynn.
