They really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and make it an enjoyable travel experience, from helping book tours to always being happy to chat. Bonus is the hotel connects to a running/biking trail (also leads straight to Reed Flute Cave) and the location is very convenient.

My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.

Great inside decor too. A little out of town so will need a taxi back and forth but it was okay. The surroundings are beautiful.

I think the place has a very pleasant atmosphere, Lily can give great advice and you feel in good hands, especially for those into outdoor activities like climbing and hiking.

Unikátní penzion The Giggling Tree se nachází v malé vesnici Little Mountain Gate, pouhých 5 km od města Yangshuo. Nabízí tradiční farmy, krásné nádvoří a venkovní bazén. Wi-Fi je dostupné zdarma. Front desk staff were excellent! Incredible mountain views (from some rooms).

Riverside Retreat Hotel se nachází uprostřed bambusových lesů a venkovských pozemků a nabízí výhled na krásnou vodu řeky Li. Best view in whole yangshou. The location makes it quiet and it’s still very close to the city centre. The staff helped us with getting 2 bikes from the hotel for 20 yuan/ person. Quite a good deal for the whole day. We were tired from the bike and couldn’t come back as we wanted to eat and they let us park the bikes in the centre and they got them picked from there. Very convenient and no up charge! If you go in winter you can just ask for more heaters! The air con works as a heater as well. Also as we went in off season they upgraded our room for free!!
