In the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Lister Arms is a quintessential English pub and AA 4-star 18th-century inn, offering home-cooked food and cosy accommodation. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.

The property had everything you could need for a stay! Very welcoming owners who clearly take pride and care in their property plus were very happy for us to bring along a dog which is great! The added green out the front was just what we needed too!

There was so much provided in terms of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. There was also moisturizer cream. This place wasn't a hotel yet it was a gem Coffee, tea and sugar was provided. The bed was a decent size for someone with restless legs! It was separate from the lounge. The shower was slightly on the small size but it was fine for its purpose. The lounge was great. The outside area is nice for having your meal or drinks in the warm weather.
