And they cooked THREE meals each day even though the listing only mentions breakfast, no extra cost..

Wawowow is a very special place. But it’s not for everyone. If you want to be away from city sounds and pollution, way out in the peace of the countryside among farms and mountain views — and if you are a person who enjoys the ruggedness of tent or A-frame cabin camping, then you will love Wawowow. Alvin has built this off-the-grid retreat himself, adding to it each year. He and his staff are caring and helpful. The well laid out grounds are covered in lawns and most if not all tents and cabins have small brick firepits. Alvin can provide the firewood for them. When I was there a number of people sat around these campfires at night singing and playing guitars. No sound amplification is allowed. Some people chose to stay on the grounds for several days. I used it as a jumping off place each morning to tour different parts of the Tomohon area each day., returning each evening.

We had an excellent 7 night stay at K2 Lembeh. The owner and the staff are outstanding. Sharon, the owner, communicated in a timely manner, answering all questions before we arrived, and then helping with arrangements during our stay via WhatsApp. Irra, who is in charge of the house and restaurant staff, was efficient and conscientious and very kind. She took care of all the details and even arranged for me to accompany her on a shopping trip to a huge market in Bitung on a day I was not able to dive. It is one of my trip highlights. Man, who is in charge of overall operations, and the dive experience, could not have been any more helpful. From arranging the details of our transportation, to taking me, after hours, into Bitung to see a doctor for an ear infection (he made the appointment, guided me to it, and stayed with me to help me figure out what was needed), to directing our dives, he always went above and beyond. You can tell that he takes pride in the operation and is very conscientious about making each guest’s stay a good experience. Fiki, our dive guide, was one of the best I have had. He was excellent at finding all those cool Lembeh Strait critters, and I also always felt very safe diving with him as he was always aware of us in the water, and was encouraging and thoughtful to me, a still slightly uncomfortable diver. The food was delicious—lots of local dishes, lots of vegetables and fresh fish. It is served as a buffet in an open area with a stunning view down the hill and to the Strait. There are a lot of steep stairs up to the dining area, but we did not mind them. The guests shared a table for meals which I really liked, as we met so many interesting travelers. The cabins are spacious, with a deck and a fine view, AC that works well, and your own carboy of water, with both hot and cold-water options.

3WILL Bunaken Dive Resort se nachází v Bunakenu, jen kousek od krásných míst pro šnorchlování a potápění. Nabízí potápěčské centrum, masáže a turistické informace. I originally only had 4 nights booked at 3WILL Bunaken but stayed for 14 nights! That should actually say enough if you were wondering if you should book! Being a solo female traveler, I'm always a bit cautious, especially traveling to off the beaten track locations, however all my questions were answered promptly and accurately. The transfer arranged by 3WILL from Manado Airport was efficient and definitely worth paying for compared to the irregular schedule of the public boat to the island. 3WILL are also able to do transfers at night, which I originally thought was not possible. The resort is beautifully located right by the seaside and there's a beach on which you can sunbathe or relax in hammocks. You can snorkel the coral reef right in front of the resort or you can join the dive boat to snorkel while the divers are diving. During the day there's large butterflies everywhere in the well maintained garden and at night I was mesmerised by fireflies! Being a divemaster, I was predominantly there for the diving which did not disappoint! Every dive was exciting and filled with an abundance of sealife! They were willing to also arrange a dive trip to Bangka Island which was very nice! I can highly recommend the night dives, as unlike most dive shops, they actually do a boat dive and not just a shore dive! The dive room is well setup with storage for gear and equipment. The dive guides, Jho and Elly were great at pointing out creatures small and large and knew the dive sites extremely well! The boat crew always made sure our gear was ready and served us fruit, biscuits and coffee during surface interval with a smile! The food was well prepared and a good combination of western and Indonesian cuisine, served buffet style, three times a day in the restaurant. They were also happily willing to cater for various dietary requirements. If you’re lucky, the local band might play during dinner which was very entertaining and a highlight of my time there!

Is the best stay I had in all my travels! - Owners can speak very good English and they are so helpfull - Food is amazing. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very good all days - the room was clean and with airco - they help you with boattransfer and transport - The owner took me with him to see dolphins. We saw like 100 dolphins. After that we stopped for two snorklingspots, wich were so beautiful - Homestay is at the beach, when you walk 200m in the water, you van snorkle very good (so many turtles and nice coral) - just an amazing place
