Mohit GH was one of my best dorm experiences in India. Such a nice, kind host, and a tidy spotless dorm room (I didn't see the other rooms) that I had to myself. It's in a quiet neighbourhood but a close walking distance to all the sites. Great value for backpackers. You helped make my stay in marvellous Sarnath and unforgettable experience!

nice and clean room, small bathroom with indian style shower, very friendly staff, nice common area where they also serve food, comfortable bed and fresh linen. its a bit outside of the town but you can still walk to the taj mahal (about 30min). for coffee addicted people: due to the convention center next to to the hotel, there is a starbucks just 5min by walk :-)

This one was a pleasant surprise. Run by an attentive and unvariably polite family, the place has nice, clean and surprisingly quiet rooms. Definitely better than we expected, specially for Agra. It is in a backstreet at a stone's throw of the road that takes you to the Taj Mahal East entrance, which turned out to be a nice evening stroll, also the next morning when we went to the Taj Mahal before dawn. The tv in the room had Prime movies, a ceiling fan and aircon, the bed was big and comfortable, the balcony was pretty sweet and we had a great breakfast by ourselves, both Indian (hollow bread wirh curry, jalebi) and Western (fresh omelette and toast, corn flakes and muesli available). There is only a single table for six in the dining room though. I don't see how they can make it work when several people are having breakfast at once. All in all, a solid choice. When you factor in the very reasonable price, even better. We'd definitely come back.

Everything; Travelling and staying for about 14 years, But would rate this stay as my best experience in Varanasi. The host Amitji, extended my stay in troubled times (Indigo Flight cancellation Phase) for another day by charging me regular price.Felt like home back. The amenities, ambience & the aura of the premise made me not feel away from home. My stay was well and good in all aspects.

The rooms are good price value and the location is great for visiting the Taj Mahal (walking distance). But additionally and more importantly, the host (Loucky) is the reason why you should choose for this place. Loucky is extremely helpfull, caring and goes out of his way to arrange whatever is necessary. Thanks a lot, Loucky, for all the help!!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Orchid Retreat. This is the perfect place for foreigners coming to Agra for the first time and wanting to stay with locals instead of hotel chains. The owner Vikrant was very helpful, proactive and responsive. The aircon in the room really helped, while the bed also slept very well. The food was delicious and made by Vikrant's family. We always like local and authentic experiences and we're glad we did this!
