So clean, they clean everyday and it’s always spotless. The host is so lovely. Her dog is so cute and friendly too! Sometimes he’ll greet you at the door, this meant so much to me especially when I was missing my dog at home. The neighborhood is AMAZING. I love Koenji so much. A perfect, calm getaway from the city with still plenty of things to do. Great restaurants, thrifting, karaoke, parks, and Japanese vibes. Also Nakano is a 20 min walk away and they have a mall with Uniqlo and everything else you’d need. It’s easy to meet other people and make friends! Women-only was awesome and made me feel really safe. I can’t wait to go back and spend my entire Japan trip here. I shouldn’t have bothered with any other hotels. Nothing compares to Grapehouse Koenji!

The Peninsula Tokyo pampers its guests with a spa centre and a fitness club with a swimming pool and sun loungers, overlooking the Imperial Palace Gardens. The room we occupied was both aesthetic and practical. The room had all the usual amenities as well as a very large dressing room. The design of the accomodation was elegant and unpretentious. Our stay included my birthday and without any notification the hotel provided a birthday cake and candles and a birthday greeting card, which was unexpected and well appreciated. We enjoyed both the breakfast and two evening meals in the lobby restaurant and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Kurumi of the staff was outstanding in her hospitality.

Set within a historic Japanese garden, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo offers spacious rooms with garden or city views and free Wi-Fi. This was probably the best hotel I have been to. Electronic curtains with a panoramic view, great staff and cleaning, superb breakfast with awesome view as well, and special thanks to Kumiko Ikehara at the guest concierge who helped me to book dining at Jiro.
