From the amazing buffet dinner they prepare for us, til the very uptight safari and guide they have associated with to do the guide safaris in wilpattu national park (btw this guide is the absolute best, incredibly knowledgeable and sweet person, made us see 3 leopards on a bad day...) The rooms are splendid, very nice and comfortable beds, bed sheets made in heaven... and the resort itself is very beautiful and just 10 min walk away from a splendid lake where we can also take a dive. Amazing

Surfpoint Sri Lanka Kite Village se nachází v destinaci Kalpitiya a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, soukromou pláží a sdíleným loungem. Right at the beach. Perfect location if you want to do some kitesurfing. You can do a downwinder home ;-) Food was delicious, room was clean and big with AC and a fan. Laundry Service. and whatever you ask for… We stayed here for 7 nights and my friend took some kitesurfing lessons. Shawn is a great teacher and also the rest of the crew were super friendly, welcoming and took good care of us. We also left the kitebag at the place to continue our travels and got it sent back to Colombo (for a fee) however what a service :) All in all, we were very satisfied and had an amazing week! We recently stayed at Villa Sethawadi and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The place itself is incredibly beautiful, set right on the serene lagoon, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our entire stay. The service was exceptional—every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently made us feel genuinely welcomed. One of the highlights of our stay was the food prepared by their amazing chef. After dining at several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that none matched the quality, taste, or presentation of the meals we enjoyed at Villa Sethawadi. Each dish was expertly crafted, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. For kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, Villa Sethawadi is ideally located, allowing easy access directly from the property to the lagoon. A word of caution though—be mindful of the sharp thorns around the area, or better yet, use the hotel's own kite school service, which conveniently takes you by boat to the prime surfing spots on the other side of the lagoon. Overall, our stay at Villa Sethawadi was exceptional. Highly recommended!

If you're thinking about visiting Dili's (whether for the restaurant or to rent a room) do it! We spent a week there, and their genuine kindness truly left a lasting impression. We're so grateful for the extra care they showed us throughout our stay.

The name of this hostel truly reflects the place—it is a paradise. It’s a pity this location isn’t more frequented because it’s a fantastic spot, surrounded by coconut palms and charming huts. The owner, Malik, is an excellent host who speaks perfect English and goes out of his way to make guests feel comfortable. Since there were only four of us staying, he generously offered each of us a private room for the same price as a dormitory bed. The beds are equipped with mosquito nets, and they also provide towels, which adds to the comfort of the stay. Breakfast is included, and they offer a restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Additionally, they can arrange various activities in the area. While recent storms have damaged some facilities and the access road—possibly explaining the lower number of visitors—the place remains well-maintained, clean, and conveniently close to both the beach and Kalpitiya Dutch Fort. Day and night, this place offers the perfect tranquility to disconnect from the world and relax. The restaurant terrace has board games, books, and even a lovely cat to keep you company. I highly recommend this hostel—it’s affordable, well-managed, and offers excellent service.
