A homely hotel. Our family enjoyed the stay. Best and beautiful rooms, fantastic breakfast, beautiful location. A peaceful place to spend a holiday. We felt like our home. We got a welcome drink on arrival which was a great welcome. Next time if I visit srilanka for sure my interinery will have elegant lake house.

Our stay at lavender home was fantastic, it is homely, comfortable and the hospitality was out of this world. The rooms are clean and the AC is cold so after a humid day it was much needed. We had our 2 year old with us and the hosts were so friendly and gracious with him that he felt right at home in their arms! The seating area overlooking the rice paddy was ideallic and we spent many hours relaxing on the balcony. We got given local fruit and king coconuts to try. We had dinner at the property each night and the fresh Sri Lankan curries were fantastic! They also arranged a safari to Yala national park, it was well organised and included a packed breakfast and lunch. We definitely recommend staying at lavender home if you are planning on visiting Tissa.

Very nice and comfortable place. the staff are very well taken care of and prepare breakfast before an early safari. at the same time, the staff is also invisible, so you feel that the whole villa belongs to you (if there are no other guests). we spent most of our time on the terrace by the pool, meaning in the common area, which was very nice to be around.

The food is authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. The 4 dogs are therapeutic to stroke. The safari tour was guided by Sudesh who has eagle's vision for spotting wild life from miles away. He'd helped us to spot snake, monitor lizard, all kinds of birds, crocodiles and definitely a leopard resting on a tree 20m away.

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and barbecue, The Coconut Gardens Hotel & Restaurant is located in Tissamaharama, 900 metres from Tissa Wewa. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Exclusive safari feeling. The hotel I surrounded by banana plantations and rice paddies. Very friendly staff and the owner tried his utmost to arrange best possible safari.

The room was bright and clean. The dinner and breakfast was great. Very nice staff. I will recommend the hotel to my friends.

We initially thought this booking would be similar to other standard camping sites, but we were delighted to discover that this is genuine mobile camping inside Yala National Park—a truly unique offering. We understand that securing the necessary government permissions is a lengthy process, often requiring at least a week's advance notice. Although we made our reservation just one day prior, the team worked hard to coordinate everything. While this meant we had to wait a few extra hours at the main gate, the effort was absolutely worthwhile, providing an amazing, lifetime experience deep in the wild. We enjoyed a full-day and a half-day safari, and during both excursions, we were lucky enough to consistently spot leopards, elephants, and a wealth of other animals. The entire experience was incredibly rewarding, and we are 100% satisfied with our choice. Thank you to the dedicated team for taking such great care of us during our stay inside the park.

I really like the breakfast I think that the suite that we stayed in was very spacious and it was clean, well organized, and it was a treat to have the private to our accommodation.

The staff was super super friendly. Breakfast was over the top good and plenty enough. The view on the lake is magnificent! Beautiful sunsets. Very nice bed linnen.
