Breakfast was tasty and they were preparing it earlier than usual as we had early morning tours. We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

Before even arriving, we appreciated Chip & Yessica’s prompt responses to our questions & their efficiency in arranging details like airport pick-up. The hostel is in a great location. It has amazing views over the river. Conveniently located behind a fruit & vegetable market, it is also only a block or so from the scenic Malecon & the main historic plaza. The hostel is magical. The high-ceilinged rooms are completely covered with vividly coloured murals. It reeks of charm. We took a room with a private bathroom. It was huge & the one wall was solid window looking out onto the river. The room is well-appointed with a bar fridge, reading lamps, etc. linens & great wifi provided. The common room (where an excellent breakfast can be served) also has these amazing windows & views. Chip speaks English & he & Yessica have been in Iquitos a long while so can answer all questions.

PuraChata Ecolodge se nachází v destinaci Iquitos a má restauraci, pokojovou službu, bar, zahradu, celoročně otevřený venkovní bazén, terasu a výhled na jezero. It was a nice and quiet place in Nature. And everyone is so friendly! And If it is too hot, you Just Take a dip in the Pool.

CAMUNGO jungle Lodge in indigenous community ALL INCLUSIVE se nachází v destinaci Puerto Franco a má restauraci, dětský klub, bar, zahradu, terasu a výhled na hory. The staff were very knowledgeable about the different species of animals. I really enjoyed feeding the bully monkeys that came down to the boat we were on. A great experience thru the Rainforest during high season.

Piri's House se nachází v destinaci Iquitos. Ubytování má bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách. The host Lidsky give us a warm welcome drink. The house equips with a very clean kitchen, pots, stove, kettle, plates, fridge...etc, so it's easy to make a simple breakfast by ourselves. The airconditions are working well, so it helps us with a humid/warm night in Iquitos. There's no hot water for the shower, but I don't want it, either. It's not far from Mercado Belén.

I enjoyed the place which is surrounded by forest and also close to money island. The hosts are very friendly. I enjoyed the time spent there very much.

Eywa Lodge Amazonas - All inclusive se nachází v destinaci Yucuruche a nabízí bar. We spent 4 nights and 5 days at Eywa lodge and we had a fantastic time. From the moment Freddy met us at our Iquitos hotel until we said our heartfelt goodbyes at the lodge and in Iquitos we were treated with respect and as friends. We were never patronized. The entire team became our friends as well as guides and supporters. Our stay at the lodge, in the forest, on the river was dreamlike. My expectations of giant anacondas, growling jaguars, and man-eating spiders were soon forgotten, replaced with endless green forest, magnificent wild rivers, countless birds, and jewel-like starry night sky’s. Particulars: prepare for rain(panchos). Expect mosquitos, they weren’t bad for us.  We used deet and piccardin and both were effective unless you are known to attract mosquitos, if so, douse outer wear with permethrin. Light weight long sleeve shirts and pants. Good walking shoes, hat, headlamp, and walking stick. Meals were delicious, varied and used local produce and were presented with style. Wifi at lodge was quite good. And the lounge/bar serve a mean pisco sour.

Amaca Eco Station se nachází v destinaci Iquitos a poskytuje ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a posezením. Staying here was the biggest gift I could give to myself. Cynthia and Ben are extremely helpful and know just the right people in Iquitos. The cabin has everything you could ask for and the bed is very comfortable. Their dog welcomes you and I was lucky enough to see Ben feed the monkeys. A little paradise in the jungle with amazing internet! Would highly recommend staying here

Guacamayo Azul se nachází v destinaci Iquitos a poskytuje venkovní bazén, zahradu, sdílený lounge, terasu a výhled do zahrady. I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!
