We had an incredible 3 nights at the lake club and left this resort very relaxed after being treated very well. We slept 2 nights in the tent and 1 night in the main room and both options are really good. The tent has everything you need (good bed, good shower and lake view). I can recommend to take a massage here and also book the boat safari. We were lucky to see elephants. The food is excellent and they are very flexible in terms of timing of having your food. All the staff is focused on your moment to relax and gives you the opportunity to enjoy your stay. We really enjoyed our stay and also the attention of the small, nice details (Bluetooth speaker for example) that makes the lake club an excellent location to enjoy your trip.

The most amazing stay highly recommended!* ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I stayed at *Doppel Gangs* in Arugam Bay and had the most unforgettable experience. The hotel is in the *perfect location* close enough to the main road (just a 1-minute walk!) to access everything easily, but tucked away enough to enjoy peace and quiet without the crowds and noise. The hotel is *by far the cleanest* I’ve stayed at in Sri Lanka, with daily housekeeping that keeps everything fresh. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. There’s also a *really nice pool*, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. But what truly made this stay exceptional was the *incredible staff*, especially *Hibed*. We were a group of 8 girls and one boy, and from the moment we arrived, Hibed went *above and beyond* to make us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for. His kindness, thoughtfulness, and attentiveness were beyond anything we expected. He was always there to help whether it was organizing *tuk tuk rides* at *any time, to any place, with any notice*, fixing a ripped pair of pants with a local seamstress, or surprising us with freshly made yogurt. Every little thing he did added to the magic of our stay. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, but I’ve *never* encountered a staff that had such a genuine impact on my overall experience. *Thank you, Doppel Gangs, for an incredible stay. My mum and I had such a lovely stay at Nikara Beach Villas during our trip around Sri Lanka. The accommodation (just outside of) Arugam Bay met all my expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with anything we needed. As mentioned the villas are located just outside the main Arugam Bay area, which makes for a peaceful and quiet stay. It’s about a 2-minute Tuk Tuk ride into town, so very convenient. We also enjoyed walking along the beach a few times during the day to explore, though it took around 20 minutes to reach the main beach spot with restaurants and beach bars. The owner was especially kind he even gave us a lift into town one day, which was extremely thoughtful and appreciated.
