We had a hard time choosing from several hotels near the Esplanade and we were so glad that we decided to stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. It’s prime location is walking distance to various spot like the Esplanade, Marlin Marina (for island and diving tours), Cairns Central and many in between. We were warmly greeted by the hotel staffs who are all so attentive and friendly and checking in was flawless. Our choice of stay was in Superior King Balcony Suite which was situated in the higher floors overlooking the Esplanade/Marlin Marina was perfect. Room was clean and and super spacious with amenities perfect for our 4 nights stay and bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed hanging out at the balcony in the morning and be greeted with the soothing sound of morning birds. We highly recommend staying at Pacific Hotel Cairns for its great value and location, making it perfect for your next Cairns adventure!

Highly recommend this exceptional property. The Manager, Brian works hard to ensure the grounds & facilities are clean, maintained & in pristine condition. Blue Lagoon is an excellent location, with convenient parking, a short walk to Trinity Beach & a selection of restaurants. The staff are professional, helpful & kind, especially John, Joleen & Stacey. The pool is very clean with a view of the Lagoon. My experience at the hotel was amazing! I left my luggage in the designated storage room before check-in and went out in the morning to explore the city. The room was fantastic with a mountain view, spacious layout, and a large bathroom. There was also a kitchenette. The hotel additionally has a pool and a jacuzzi. The staff were very helpful and positive. The location is great, with cafés for breakfast and shopping centers nearby. The only downside is that I regret staying for only two nights in this city. I would have loved to spend more time in such a wonderful place.

We spent 4 nights, family of 8. The staff provided excellent service. We stayed in a 4 bed apartment which was absolutely stunning with amazing views, very peaceful comfortable & well equipped. The beach was very close and in its vicinity there are local shops & restaurants, although I would recommend hiring a car for amazing sights.

Reception staff were superb. in particular Molly who went to great trouble to move us to a quieter location. Being in our 70/80s the original cabin next to the children play area was a little noisy - to say the least. Molly moved us to. rainforest cabin which was a delight and very quiet.

Surrounded by eating places and night market few doors down.... All closed daytime but cafes around the corner and Woolworths in abbot Street. 20 minute walk to Cairns Central and easy walk along esplanade. Great location

We stayed on the quiet beachfront main road at the southern...

We stayed on the quiet beachfront main road at the southern end of Palm Cove which is not as busy yet has plenty of restaurants and a few shops. The beach is only swimmable on certain days owing to the strong onshore winds. There is a pleasant easy half hour walk through rainforest and beachfront to the next village of Clifton Beach which has a small shopping mall with a large supermarket - 5 minutes by car.

hotel was right on the beach so excellent for sunrise and sunset photos. beach is picturesque with a nice lookout at one end. close to restaurants, quick drive to a supermarket. phone reception was patchy on beach front but fine around the corner. room has only a bar fridge not full size. off road parking can be tight if you are last one's home.

The beautiful breeze was lovely whenever I sat on a comfortable seat on the grass near the beach... We thought the views were amazing in every way we turned on the walkway across the road from the Agincourt Beachfont...We will be returning. It will most likely be in the winter though, as humidity is very high in the summer for us, as a couple from the central coast, in N.S.W. Thank you! It is close enough for a drive to Cairns, Port Douglas and other beautiful spots.

The North Cairns area can be noisy because of its location...

The North Cairns area can be noisy because of its location near the airport. Road noise is also a concern during the day because the apartment is on the1st floor and no sound barriers between its balcony and the road nearby. Overall, though, the noise level greatly reduces in the evening and did not affect our sleeping at night.

A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore pricier northern beaches of Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. And definitely much quieter! A comprehensive shopping strip on the main street and of course not far from the large shopping complex at Smithfield. A few restaurant options available, including the yacht club. There is a bus service into Cairns CBD, but I would recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis are very expensive.

If you have a hire car, Westcourt is a good place to stay. Away from the mad tourist traffic and late-night city noises. Just a two-minute drive to the Esplanade, Cairns Station, major shopping centre and the city centre.

Not recommended at all. Not as it claims. Not a holiday house. It is A holiday apartment in a Queenslander with owners living on the premises with two territorial jack Russells. No parking. Not an easy address to find for a traveller. Take your own milk for coffee.

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Private and peaceful. A couple of good cafes/restaurants and a general store. 10min to the nearest supermarket and to the airport. 15 minutes to Cairns City. Great base to travel up to the northern beaches

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do.

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do. Tropical Islands, hinterland hideaways, tourist attractions and untouched nature. It's a great mix of all the best things. Highlights of my trip were Mossman Gorge, snorkelling at Fitzroy Island, Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Railway. I also loved being on the Esplanade for all the eateries, and the fabulous swimming lagoon.
