The entire experience at Oaks was excellent. The Breakfast was very good. Both the young ladies who served us - Tina (thea) from Vietnam and Luna from Japan were outstanding. They were extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome. Both my wife and I wish them the best. The check in experience was also very good. Our request for a late check out by an hour was also entertained by the senior management.

Blue Lagoon is an excellent location, with convenient parking, a short walk to Trinity Beach & a selection of restaurants. The staff are professional, helpful & kind, especially John, Joleen & Stacey. The pool is very clean with a view of the Lagoon. My experience at the hotel was amazing! I left my luggage in the designated storage room before check-in and went out in the morning to explore the city. The room was fantastic with a mountain view, spacious layout, and a large bathroom. There was also a kitchenette. The hotel additionally has a pool and a jacuzzi. The staff were very helpful and positive. The location is great, with cafés for breakfast and shopping centers nearby. The only downside is that I regret staying for only two nights in this city. I would have loved to spend more time in such a wonderful place.

It is a large, modern complex with great rooms. There are various pools around the complex, washing facilities, and a large shopping center next door. Restaurants aren't far away, either, and the train station and Greyhound bus stop are just a few minutes away. It's a 20-minute walk to the esplanade, but we didn't mind this at all. There was good WiFi, and the apartments were large enough to really relax and feel at home.

Reception staff were superb. in particular Molly who went to great trouble to move us to a quieter location. Being in our 70/80s the original cabin next to the children play area was a little noisy - to say the least. Molly moved us to. rainforest cabin which was a delight and very quiet.

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do.

Cairns is a great holiday destination with so much to do. Tropical Islands, hinterland hideaways, tourist attractions and untouched nature. It's a great mix of all the best things. Highlights of my trip were Mossman Gorge, snorkelling at Fitzroy Island, Kuranda Skyrail and Scenic Railway. I also loved being on the Esplanade for all the eateries, and the fabulous swimming lagoon.

We stayed on the quiet beachfront main road at the southern end of Palm Cove which is not as busy yet has plenty of restaurants and a few shops. The beach is only swimmable on certain days owing to the strong onshore winds. There is a pleasant easy half hour walk through rainforest and beachfront to the next village of Clifton Beach which has a small shopping mall with a large supermarket - 5 minutes by car.

hotel was right on the beach so excellent for sunrise and sunset photos. beach is picturesque with a nice lookout at one end. close to restaurants, quick drive to a supermarket. phone reception was patchy on beach front but fine around the corner. room has only a bar fridge not full size. off road parking can be tight if you are last one's home.

The beautiful breeze was lovely whenever I sat on a comfortable seat on the grass near the beach... We thought the views were amazing in every way we turned on the walkway across the road from the Agincourt Beachfont...We will be returning. It will most likely be in the winter though, as humidity is very high in the summer for us, as a couple from the central coast, in N.S.W. Thank you! It is close enough for a drive to Cairns, Port Douglas and other beautiful spots.

The North Cairns area can be noisy because of its location...

The North Cairns area can be noisy because of its location near the airport. Road noise is also a concern during the day because the apartment is on the1st floor and no sound barriers between its balcony and the road nearby. Overall, though, the noise level greatly reduces in the evening and did not affect our sleeping at night.

A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore...

A good alternative to the much trendier and therefore pricier northern beaches of Trinity Beach and Palm Cove. And definitely much quieter! A comprehensive shopping strip on the main street and of course not far from the large shopping complex at Smithfield. A few restaurant options available, including the yacht club. There is a bus service into Cairns CBD, but I would recommend hiring a vehicle for your stay. Taxis are very expensive.

Not recommended at all. Not as it claims. Not a holiday house. It is A holiday apartment in a Queenslander with owners living on the premises with two territorial jack Russells. No parking. Not an easy address to find for a traveller. Take your own milk for coffee.

If you have a hire car, Westcourt is a good place to stay. Away from the mad tourist traffic and late-night city noises. Just a two-minute drive to the Esplanade, Cairns Station, major shopping centre and the city centre.

For our family, location great.

For our family, location great. Short trip from airport, quick lunch at Red Barron Hotel, changed for trip to venue at Redlynch. We were only there for a few hours but found it to be a 2 star rating. I would not book this again.

Went out to Michaelmiss Cay, great experience on a smaller family boat. Just need to pick the right weather,it was 20 knots and made it a bit uncomfortable for me snorkeling as I’m 77 but ok for everyone else. The staff on the boat were very friendly and helpful and safety was their main thing,checking all the time that everyone was on board etc and asking if you needed anything.
