The property manager (Leonardo) and the staff care for the guests as people. In my case, a thunderstorm brewed over the night and I was planning to drive to our next location. Leonardo and another staff member looked up some local news to make sure we knew what the safest route was. In regard to the room, they have 2 AC units and loads of space for either couples or small families. The community is secure and feels very cozy. Breakfast is delicious. HIGHLY HIGHLY regard others to stay here.

The pool was very cozy both in the normal temperature part with a superlative water bar it was years that I waited for such a relaxing situation .. I had dinner several times. Optimal reception also with particular attention to families. I was also rewarded with a dinner invitation from the Resort for the whole family. SUPER! The exceptional breakfast service and also the very professional bar service among my memories great moments with the bartender Solonero. The saloon for breakfast and dinner has a fantastic view on the VOLCANO and it is absolutely unique. Activities such as horseback riding and searching for Perezosos are highly recommended and adventurous....everything absolutely an experience to replicate

We did a tour of Costa Rica and it was probably the best place we stayed, beautiful new rooms, little modern kitchen, beautiful shower and jacuzzi! The view from the top balcony (each room has one) is breathtaking. I have never seen anything like it! Friendly staff, easy to communicate via what’s up any time! 10 minutes from the Arenal volcano.

The staff was extremely helpful and warm. The receptionist booked four activities for us while we were eating dinner. It made our trip much more easier. The waiters were really professional and friendly at the same time. The food was amongst the best we have tasted in Costa Rica. The resort was stunning: the pool and the mini spas were absolutely amazing. The location is perfect! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Immersed in lush tropical grounds, full of lots of flora and fauna. The restaurant food was very tasty with a great breakfast. The staff went above and beyond with making our stay extra special, with room decoration and also with information on things to do in the area. Only a short uber ride into La Fortuna and a very short walk to the waterfalls. Definitely recommend it.

With one small exception, absolutely everything! If you want to stay near Arenal and explore the rainforests around the volcano, this is the place to go and stay. Views are out of this world and accomodations are great. Loved their focus on sustainability and eco-tourism. We stayed for three nights but could easily have spent a week.

The on-site hot springs are beautiful. The included 30 min spa treatments (one per stay pp) were a nice touch. The activity (one per stay pp) was brilliant. The bird life around the property and the trail walk is beautiful. Lunch was good for veggies and view from the restaurant to the volcano is amazing. Pool bar man is a diamond!

Great hotel, good location for our purposes.

Great hotel, good location for our purposes. The pool and grounds were beautiful. The casita was a perfect size with two double beds and private bathroom. Walking distance to a wonderful restaurant that served us a free welcome drink and dessert after dinner. Service was very efficient. Excellent breakfast! Pura Vida.

Our trip was mostly rejuvenation, health and to access the volcano and hot springs. We went to Arenal park and hiked the trail to the Volcano. We saw a Capibara but most other wildlife is best viewed in the early morning. There were a lot of orchids in bloom along the trails. Going to EcoTermales Hotspring was the highlight. It's a gorgeous naturally constructed spa with layered pools, waterfalls all built with stacked granite rockery, bridges and pathways connect the pools, and there's plenty of seating, an open bar that serves the best mixed drinks. The restaurant served fresh healthy assortment of seafood and meats with veggie dishes with dessert at Lunch. The water was fed from the natural hotspring, which was circulated , refreshed constantly with fresh volcanic water. Attention to the holistic elements of nature were throughout. Staff and Service were top notch.

We love the ease of walking the town for most anything you...

We love the ease of walking the town for most anything you need. The tours we have taken have been wildlife, the volcano and we hope to get back again to see a few more that we just didn’t get fit in. The tours pick you up and get you back easily. The people of Fortuna are all so nice and helpful. Our favorite spots are Arenal Monara for lodging and Ecotermales Hot Springs for relaxing

This appears to be the start of what I call "plastic tourism," where people are content being sucked into overpriced, commercialized experiences. There were too many people doing tick-box tourism, taking pictures of themselves rather than the gloriously beautiful area they were in. There are some genuine "Costa Rica" experiences to be had, but they are rare. I doubt I will be back.
