Staff were welcoming and helpful (lent me an adapter when mine wasn't fitting in the socket). Room was beautiful, nice touches like dimmer light, comfy bed/nice sheets big smart TV, well decorated. The rest of the hotel was nicely decorated too, and the back garden was nice. I didn't try breakfast so can't comment on it, but overall loved it.

We felt at home and the service and facilities were excellent! The only limitation was the restaurant’s schedule but we understand it is a concession so it’s not the same as the hotel (not the same schedule, quality or service). But the hotel’s quality his so good that we did not mind having to go out to eat. This hotel is worth 💯 of its price.

    The place was created for vacation rental, and it is great for that. Around 10 or 15 floating houses compose the complex; they are all close to each other, but it is possible to create your privacy since all the windows have blinds. Apart from that, the kitchen is well-equipped and well-planned, as everything (the dining room and living room) is connected. The deck is nice and has a simple table, some chairs, and an umbrella. Good for sunbathing and diving in the lake. The weather was pretty good, but the water was still cold. Hahaha! Rooms were excellent, beds were comfortable, and the pillows, although pretty big, were soft. Same for the blankets. It is a very good place to spend some time with family and friends. You're gonna have to use the car for everything, but all the places that matter are close, within a 15-minute range.

The area is very beautiful and there are lots of things to see around. the room was big and comfortable. better pay a little more and take a room with a balcony- its worth it.     I was there for the marathon but also did some sightseeing. Worth taking a free walking tour (donation at the end) to understand the history of the city. Good restaurants and excellent public transport.

    Car parking very limited, and fee charged to use hotel car park, 14 euros a night, despite being a guest. They are very hot on fining for parking if you exceed the time restrictions on adjacent streets if you don’t use hotel car park.

    Close enough to Berlin for a short journey into the city, so ideal to base yourself there and take the train into Berlin central. Plenty of cultural places to visit in this historical town/suburb of Berlin. Good choice of restaurants, although I was confused as to why so many close 21:00 weekdays.

    During the summer and spring brightens up a lot, and can be very vibrant during the weekend. During winter it is cold, gray and dead. The city is surprisingly international for its dimension, offering a wide assortment of restaurants. Don't expect much from the restaurants in terms of variety and quality. The museums are very cute, focusing on the message rather than bombard you with pieces. It is a good base for further exploration of the surrounding area. I would recommend the Slawenburg at Raddusch, Lübbenau, the Therms at Burg, Kromlau, which are easily reachable by car, and also reachable by public transportation (not as easily though). Let's be blunt, Cottbus is not a place that people go to just because. It is not a particularly interesting or beautiful city.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald.

    Beautiful town in Spreewald. We were only 3 days there and it was far from enough. Arrive in the midlle of week, there will be fewer tourists. Go for a breakfast to Bubner, visit the City museum, and of course go kayaking!

    Brandenburg is easy to access using public transport from Berlin Airport. You can either book trains in advance (via train line.com) or buy them on the day at the station. There are lots of very regular trains throughout the day. Brandenburg is a lovely town, walks along the river, coffee shops, opportunities to wild swim, hire boats, pedaloes or paddle boards. It is a very clean area, with a quiet, slow pace. (Also has a very efficient A&E department at the University hospital, should you end up with an emergency like we did). It was very easy to access Berlin, about 45 minutes on the train with beautiful scenery. Berlin Zoo is absolutely lovely and we very much enjoyed the shade it offered whilst walking around seeing the animals.... Baby panda being the highlight!

    Charming city on the Oder river where you can walk across the bridge to Poland and explore its twin town on the Polish side. Food cheap food go to the Polish side and for charm and great German beer stay on the German side. Definitely worth a long weekend visit.

    The Schloss is very photogenic and well worth exploring. We were attending an opera performance in the theatre which is a first-class venue. There is a good choice of restaurants in the town. We also hired bikes to explore the countryside of Mark.
