Excellent hotel! Could not fault it at all! All of the staff were so kind and helpful, as a solo traveller new to Berlin they were very helpful in suggesting places to shop and eat! and the hotel itself is absolutely stunning! Will definitely go back :) oh and the breakfast was amazing!

We were 4 nights in Berlin , 2 at Hilton and 2 at Living...

We were 4 nights in Berlin , 2 at Hilton and 2 at Living Grosser Kurfurst. Hilton is next to Gendarmenmarkt ,while Kurfurst is 12 minute walk from Red Rathaus Market and Alexander Platz Market . Hilton was 40 % more expensive and was just a hotel room,not a full apartment. Best Market was the Scandinavian Market , Lucia . Largest was the Red City Hall or Rathaus market,while the Gendarmenmarket , had an entry fee and had more high-end merchandise . Ger a day p[ass or multi day pass on the excellent,clean,and safe subway system .

A quiet backwater away from Berlin City Centre but only 20 minutes from Alexanderplatz by train. Beautiful Park full of historical Palaces and wildlife! Mondays are great if you want to see have guided tour all around the Park as the Museums and Palaces are closed so the places we visit with the guide are, an ideal since it is quieter for those who don't want the crowds. Great choice of Restaurants for Lunch and Dinner in Potsdam! Best Lunches we had were at Cafe Alice on Brandenburger Str, the main shopping area of Potsdam. Serves the best Liver and Onions with Potatoes I have had in years (!) and the best Apple Strudel! Grilled Salmon was superb also. Museums in Alter Market are well worth a visit also when in Potsdam! Potsdam is easy to reach from Berlin Airport- RB22 Train is direct and does not go through Berlin City!

Great reception, food closed but suggested lovely italian 500 metres nearby. Very helpful with bus directins and leaflet for next day and breakfast was great. Would have like tea and coffee in room but was ok. Great they had snacks and drink machines for when reception closed

During the summer and spring brightens up a lot, and can be very vibrant during the weekend. During winter it is cold, gray and dead. The city is surprisingly international for its dimension, offering a wide assortment of restaurants. Don't expect much from the restaurants in terms of variety and quality. The museums are very cute, focusing on the message rather than bombard you with pieces. It is a good base for further exploration of the surrounding area. I would recommend the Slawenburg at Raddusch, Lübbenau, the Therms at Burg, Kromlau, which are easily reachable by car, and also reachable by public transportation (not as easily though). Let's be blunt, Cottbus is not a place that people go to just because. It is not a particularly interesting or beautiful city.

Bad Saarow is a lovingly designed health resort with many small shops, restaurants, bars, a small cinema, a wonderful bathing beach with a beach bar, a boat harbor and very nice people. The area is ideal for relaxing, hiking, swimming, boating and unwinding.

Beautiful town in Spreewald.

Beautiful town in Spreewald. We were only 3 days there and it was far from enough. Arrive in the midlle of week, there will be fewer tourists. Go for a breakfast to Bubner, visit the City museum, and of course go kayaking!

Charming city on the Oder river where you can walk across...

Charming city on the Oder river where you can walk across the bridge to Poland and explore its twin town on the Polish side. Food cheap food go to the Polish side and for charm and great German beer stay on the German side. Definitely worth a long weekend visit.

Brandenburg is easy to access using public transport from Berlin Airport. You can either book trains in advance (via train line.com) or buy them on the day at the station. There are lots of very regular trains throughout the day. Brandenburg is a lovely town, walks along the river, coffee shops, opportunities to wild swim, hire boats, pedaloes or paddle boards. It is a very clean area, with a quiet, slow pace. (Also has a very efficient A&E department at the University hospital, should you end up with an emergency like we did). It was very easy to access Berlin, about 45 minutes on the train with beautiful scenery. Berlin Zoo is absolutely lovely and we very much enjoyed the shade it offered whilst walking around seeing the animals.... Baby panda being the highlight!

Quiet place with bus link to Berlin train station zoo Which is in the heart of the city. Teltow doesn’t have much to see people stay to visit Potsdam, which is a bit of a distance to travel in my opinion! If you want to see Berlin go to Berlin the price of accommodation can be found equally to Teltow.
