This was a pleasant surprise. We had thought (like all other places we stayed in during our D.R. visit) that there would be some things missing or not working. My wife and I were delighted by our stay in the Hampton in Boca Chica, near the airport. I felt like I was in Florida on several occasions during the visit. The room was superb and well-equipped, as well as spotlessly clean. The hotel had a new feel to it, and it may have been recently opened or renovated; I don’t know. The staff were more than helpful. One of them got the cook to make me a special Dominican breakfast (without my prompting him and something not on the menu or on display) and was a hoot. The hotel was full of customers, but you would never know that it was so crowded. The place was quiet with some gentle background music. Nice.

Eli is so friendly and helpful receptionist. We arrived a little bit late and we were so tired. She made a check in so quick. The room was big enough and the bed is one of the biggest I have slept ever. The restaurant and breakfast is so nice and enough. You can see the sea from the terrace.

The apartment has everything you need to enjoy your stay. It isn’t the newest but it’s very confortable and functional : Aircon, fully equipped kitchen, tv ect… The complex has a great pool area, a small restaurant/bar to get your snacks and drinks . It’s situated 5 min walk to the beach and has a big supermarket 10min walk if you want your own supply and save on eating and drinking out. Graziano has been very helpful from check in, to give information on what to do around.

I only used this as a 2 nights stop whilst waiting for a rearranged flight home. Booked it very late and got great reception and response from host to get me the keys and and settle in. Close to the airport (5 minute taxi ride) There's a supermarket within 10 minutes walk with ATM's and obviously anything you need for shopping. I didn't look around the area any further. The flat was fairly clean with basic amenities and if i needed to wait over again for a flight the i would definetly consider using this host again.

Sad, overpriced and not very nice. A lot of rubbish everywhere. No local culture. Beaches were poor. Theres a view of a large powerstation from the beach. No good food available apart from ridiculously overpriced top-end restaurants. Very shabby and disappointing overall. A poor end to a disappointing trip to the Dominican Republic which these days feels like a rerirement haven for expats. We left feeling deflated.

Nice city with so many changes in the years I've been. A bit annoying to deal with the vendors who seem to come every 5 minutes. Also watch out for the locals who try and get you to sit down and eat . They will mark up the prices of the food to make money off of you . I recommend you take a picture of the menu and sit yourself down and wait for someone of the establishment to atend you . The locals will try and hustle you out your money
