Snorkeling at the beach is one of the best snorkeling places I’ve ever seen and it’s right in front of the hotel. Beautiful coral with amazing fish and you easily spot turtles and stingrays as well. I haven’t been able to see a dugong but they are also there. The service is great and the animation team is amazing. Every night top-notch entertainment, it was so much fun. The entire hotel is very clean as well. 0 complaints (and if you do, they fix it right away!)

All of them in their role, Taha, Dahi, Yahia, Mahmoud and Mustafa were very kind and helpful with us during our stay. Awesome place owned by Amr, who also became a friend.

Our stay at the Marine Lodge Hotel was simply unforgettable. From the very first moment, we felt warmly welcomed and cared for with extraordinary attention: every detail was designed to make our experience truly special.
The staff was impeccable in every respect. A special mention goes to Tifa, whose smile and kindness made every day more enjoyable – a true professional of hospitality, always attentive and thoughtful. Alongside him, Mahmood was equally courteous and helpful. Unforgettable also the kindness of Nancy, who offered us a wonderful dinner on the beach and fulfilled every request with such care, knowing this was a special trip.
Even the staff who escorted us to our room and helped with the luggage were delightful: every morning we found the bed decorated with elegant towel art and flower petals, a delicate and refined gesture. We enjoyed pure relaxation with wonderful couple massages, a perfectly done pedicure, and even traditional Egyptian hair removal.
The diving school within the resort proved to be excellent: professional, well-organized, and attentive, they guided us with a clear and reassuring pool briefing that allowed me to approach diving with total peace of mind.
The restaurant service was another highlight: Mustafa deserves a special mention for his outstanding pizza and delicious desserts made with the same dough – true delicacies. Ahmed, the restaurant manager, also stood out for his professionalism and care, together with all the staff, always smiling and attentive.
The entire structure is flawless: a spotless pool, fast Wi-Fi everywhere, all-inclusive services with drinks included, and a relaxed atmosphere without any commercial pressure. Inside the resort, there are also some charming little shops, including a spice shop run by a South African owner – wonderful incenses and products, highly recommended.

We chose the hotel as our first all-inclusive holiday resort experience and it was way beyond our expectations. We were upgraded to a family room with a private pool sharing with our nearby buildings and even without that, there were so many pools of different depths and for different activities around, so spaces and availability were never an issue. There was also a private beach which people do snorkelling. There were daily programmes and performance catered for different ages and groups. We watched night-time water show (hoverboard) and had fun at the afternoon pink party (foam party in central pool). The waterpark for children and adults were fantastic with different slides and facilities. There were bar, food court, and restaurant scattering around the resort, so food and drink were never too far away. Food were great - different restaurants to choose with cuisines of various regions and cultures. Special BBQs and roasts, fruit specials, pastry and desert - like food shows every day. We were also offered to a special dinner (with live music performance) and attended an a-la-carte dinner party.
Staff were really friendly and helpful. We also used the travel agents at the lobby to arrange day trips of snorkelling in the Red Sea and visiting Luxor. The hotel seemed to be known and popular among European visitors, but less for British ones. It's not as busy or crowded as other popular locations that we saw in most travel agency's holiday packages. I'd definitely recommend.

The resort is huge, modern, kept in good condition and very clean.
Room are specious, clean and with all all facilities.
Water in swimming pool is very clean. I don't know how they do it, but they don't use chlorine, what's great. Beach is very nice with access to snorkeling spot on site. Sunbeds, but in general all furniture, are almost like new.

The Alaya hotel guests has a private beach area at Coraya bay, my husband and I were given a lift there by a golf cart. Alaya staff greeted us at the beach area ,attending to our needs. providing beach chairs, umbrella and bar service . The swimming are is great, water is clean and warm. Snorkeling and scuba diving is available. I did snorkel and it was a great experience.

Our stay at Porto Ghalib was truly enjoyable. The location is beautiful with direct access to the marina and a stunning beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food offered a good variety every day. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The snorkeling experience was amazing we even saw sea turtles, which made our trip unforgettable. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely come back again.

No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels.

I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...
I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second.
We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited.
I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.)
It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))

The sea was beautiful.
The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.

Beach area we were in wasn't the greatest,no swimming area ,too shallow and rocky not sandy.Took quad ride out in desert was fun.Lots of fish to see on reefs,water very clean.marss Mubarak has resident dugong and turtles but didn't see the dugong on our visit.Overall nice place ,a bit on the windy side but nice relief from heat.

There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.

The place is small but pretty, with nice bars and restaurants and lots of opportunities for excursions. The restaurants offer good food, but it's a bit expensive for Egypt; you can tell that tourists are expected to pay more than usual.
