Ferney has a fantastic market on Saturday mornings. It has several lovely restaurants, a lovely tea shop (La Truite) opposite a lovely bakery. A lovely cafe called Augustine & Balthazar (around the back). Karma restaurant and Pizza Azzuria were lovely too.

A very pleasant town, clean and lively, lots of places to eat, markets and supermarkets to find food, excellent public transportation, in a beautiful area, and close to both Lyon and Geneva. The Monastere Royale was very interesting and well worth a visit.

I don't recommend the room was so tiny even 1-person can't stay. In the room picture they mentioned 3 beds, but it was bunker bed. Travelling was big issue and no public transport available in time and i cont. get uber many times. It was my worst experience.

It is a perfect location for someone who wants to live close...

It is a perfect location for someone who wants to live close to Geneva. It is very peaceful and quiet, although it's developing fast. It's my perfect location, close to the mountain tracks and ski slopes. Great pubs and delicious croissants. There is everything one may need and much cheaper than in Geneva.

We had a long journey and this hotel happened to be in the area we decided to stay over night. We wanted a good value hotel that was clean. We wanted comfortable beds and a nice shower for the morning. We needed free and secure parking. This hotel ticked all the boxes. There was nothing we didn’t like.

I was there for only 12 hours.

I was there for only 12 hours. I stayed there when en route from Paris to Geneva, because accommodation in Geneva is very expensive. Bellegarde-s-V seems to be a very good centre for visiting Geneva, Annecy and other places.

Good location for overnight family stay.

Good location for overnight family stay. Basic rooms but clean with air con (although you need to request this is turned on at reception). Nice continental breakfast. Secure gated parking with large spaces and no height restrictions. 2min walk to a supermarket. Local restaurants within a few mins walk, except Sunday - we drove 10mins to Coco Diner.

The ease of traveling and the calm and quiet environment. Public transport is efficient and timely as well as predictable. Unlike other cities i have been to in other countries, i found this excellent. I visited historic sites too

Really loved the calm, clean and peaceful atmosphere of the town. Extremely clean everywhere. We loved the cathedral and would have liked to have had more time to see the Monastery- we only had time to drive out to take a look at it on our way out of Bourg-en-Bresse. Pretty cafes and restaurants near the theatre, and lots of beautiful old buildings. We enjoyed watching everyone in the main square, where the fountains and play area for the children were. Very safe and relaxing, also as it was a pedestrian area. One night was a bit too little time, as we only arrived at 4pm.
