Beside the river in Aberlour city centre and close to everything. Rooms were big with comfortable beds, nice amenities and a bath tub - and they were named after speyside whisky distilleries. Parking was easy as they allocate lots for guests. Breakfast was delicious. We had a great night doing whisky flights in the bar - their stock list is immaculate!

We received a lovely warm welcome on arrival and got plenty of good advice for things to do around the area and where to eat. After quite a cold day, it was lovely to return to the hotel and have a cosy drink by the fire. Loved the sea views from the hotel.

We didn't really come in order to explore Aberdeen, but would like to return and spend more time exploring. We called in briefly at the Marine museum and would have liked to look around the port. The local people were friendly and helpful. There were plenty of places to eat near the hotel- e.g. Italian, Japanese sushi, kebabs, fish and chips, Wetherspoons.

We went to Ballater to be close to Balmoral Castle, where we went to an artisans market on the grounds. We were there in October, so opening of other parts of the castle were not available, due to royal residence use. I would return to this beautiful part of Scotland again if given the chance, to see more of the castle.

Another Scottish town that's looking and feeling the effects of an ageing infrastructure and a lack of investment. Shopping and eating from restaurants is a very hard-to-navigate one-way system that's not user-friendly if you're unfamiliar with the area.

The hotel was excellent lovely accommodation, delicious meals. The staff couldn't do enough for us. My husband played golf in Lossiemouth at the Moray Golf Club it was a fabulous course. It is winter time as we visited and a bit cold but we loved Stonehaven. the Ship Inn on the harbour is a good place to eat and drink and Carrons fish and chips are excellent and Stonehaven is easy to get around as it is flat so good for people who are a bit infirm or disabled. In the summer which we plan to visit next year it would be better as you could do more activities as you can walk all along the bay and then there's a boardwalk round to the harbour and at the other end of the bay near the beach is a fantastic ice cream shop

Great restaurants, pubs and cafes and made to feel welcome at them all. Particularly the MacRaj Indian Restaurant and Harbour Lights cafe. Great walks at both West and East beaches as well as the Riverside (not really suitable for those with mobility issues). Peaceful place with local people that actually talk to you. Spent many happy trips to Lossiemouth and hopefully many more.

Fochabers is a quaint, lovely small town dating from the 18th century. Easy to drive in and find parking. It’s a convenient location to use as a base to visit surrounding historical sites, look for local shops for made in Scotland goods, go to some distilleries or drive to the coast. Beautiful Castle Gordon next to the town, offer tours. First Highland Games of the Season are held on the Castle grounds in May. There are at least four places to stay, Gordon Castle being one. Delightfully diverse dining options; most are an easy walk. Depending on where you stay, dining is also available on site. We stayed at the Red Lion Tavern that offers a fabulous breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Fochabers. Please consider this lovely village as part of your itinerary.
