- location: a few minutes away from the Zoo, the SPA, the city center, the shopping area - generous breakfast - the tranquility of the area: the hotel is on the shore of a small lake, far from traffic, horns, and any kind of noise - spacious and clean room - the kindness of the staff, willing to help you: the first night we were a little cold - probably a matter of habit. Although, correctly, both at check-in and in the room, you are warned that the maximum temperature in the room is 21 degrees, being set centrally from the reception - at our request, they customized the setting on 22/24 degrees, making our stay even more pleasant.

We liked the location, friendly staff and the free parking even before check-in and after check-out. We stayed only one night but our expectations were greatly exceeded. We had a room with a large, comfy bed on the ground floor with the view on the park. Breakfast was included and was delicious. We also liked the overall design of the hotel and room.

I spent a single night in the Szamos building. A few years ago, the hotel and restaurant were renovated from a complex of old industrial buildings. They are in excellent condition, have an extensive internal parking area, are nicely furnished, and are well-equipped. The hotel is like a modern hunting resort, with several graphics, paintings, and statues depicting hunting and game.

This is a gem of a city.

This is a gem of a city. We love the pools at Aquarius, the zoo, and all the other places to go and see. Downtown has some pleasant areas and is easy to get around. We have both driven and used the buses. The city is central to other places in the region, so it makes a good base for exploring.

Upon arrival, we did not find anyone from the staff at all, only after half an hour, teenagers appeared who do not understand any language except Hungarian. Unfortunately, they did not help to understand all the conditions of staying in this hotel. So in the morning we couldn't get the separately paid breakfast, so we left hungry. Perhaps this establishment is designed for local travelers only.

Nyiregyhaza is a very nice 100K citizens Hungarian city.

Nyiregyhaza is a very nice 100K citizens Hungarian city. It's very clean, you can see that it's been taken good care of. Nice parks, sculptures, a mixture of cultures, great places to hang out or to go out for a portion of great food and drinks. It's also a university city and has a great zoo on the outskirts of the city. I'd say that it's also climatically and geographically situated perfectly well - just 2+hrs from Budapest (by highway), the nearest airport is in Debrecen which is some 80 km from Nyiregyhaza, neighbouring Ukraine and Slovakia (literally an hour's drive to each of the above mentioned), Tisa river is near, lots of water and forests. In general, it seemed to me that people of Nyiregyhaza are very happy with the place where they live in.

An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people...

An amazing place to visit with family and friends, people are kind, attractions are great. Huge outdoor park spa with indoor kiddie pools and other specialty ones. Animal park is huge, has elephants, giraffes, a restaurant, petting zoo and an oceanarium. Lots of fountains all over town, lots of ice cream and the streets are clean in general.
