There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.Guest review byLu KoUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hikes in Stelvio National Park are stunning although Val Zebrú was a bit too touristy for our taste: we hiked for 33 km/return but most people were using "mountain taxi" (4x4 vehicles) to reach the huts and have lunch there, so cars were passing by all the time, which is not ideal for nature lovers like us. We saw ibex, deer, squirrel, marmots, golden eagle. We had dinners in two places and the food was definitively below average - I suspect this is not the best part of Italy to enjoy food.Guest review byMarcoSpain - 10.0

Typical Apline village, steep streets, one definitely needs a car to get around the area, There is a local bus but it doesn't run very often. The village has a food shop. Bormio is 10 min drive and has plenty of shopping, walks, cycling and restaurants. The Oga fort is worth visiting.Guest review byLubkaNUnited Kingdom - 10.0

A pleasant small town, with a church in the center, and two smaller shops near the center. Local people live here, so you don't feel like you're in a tourist reserve, but on the contrary, there is a pleasant local atmosphere.Guest review byJiriCzech Republic - 10.0

A very pleasant and charming small town nestled in the mountains. The town reflects its rich history, yet it offers plenty of small shops. The mountain slopes are right next door and easily accessible from the town. The opportunities for cycling, spa visits, and hiking are fantastic!Guest review bySamuliFinland - 10.0

I came for revitalisation in a quiet environment, which I got in April. Extensive footpath network. S. Caterina may be a gem for snow enthousiasts who don't need the high society, high tech, high risk, fast slopes (these may be there nonetheless, I am no expert). Some slopes finish right in the centre of the village. For me, it was brilliant, too; is has retained the feel of a farming community; also there are several villages with interesting medieval centres down the road to Bormio. Even out of season fresh bread can be had from the super market/butcher. Not much in the way of eating out.Guest review byW.Netherlands - 8.0

Being in the mountains... a vehicle important, though walking around the village is possible, and our lodge provided a shuttle to skiing. Bormio is a lovely location.. very picturesque high in the mountainsGuest review byWendyNew Zealand - 8.0
It is nice village for skiing.
It is nice village for skiing. The 2-sit chair lift is old and should be renovated, but from there one can connect to the rest of ski slopes. The other way is to take gondola. I didn't like parking there, because it is too far from the lift. There is underground tunnel from parking place, which is I think more than 200 meters long.Guest review byGoranNetherlands
