Great location, it was super easy to get to, and also easy to get to nice restaurants in the area. Loved the spacious bathroom and how good the shower-head pressure was. Danielle was great, and let us use the spa even though there were less than 40mins left before they close. The smart locks made our in-outs very easy! Highly recomming the property!

Wonderful experience at the Radisson hotel! We liked it so much that we cancelled the other reservation we had to extend our stay. Nice rooms, great location, functional sauna and breakfast service with a wide variety. The great highlight was the very friendly staff that went above and beyond so that our stay could be memorable. With special mention to Flavio who was exceptional in making all he could to make our stay very special. Highly recommended.

...and hands down the best accommodation in the area. Reggetevi ai sostegni!! As an ultimate lover of luxury, comfort, coziness and relaxation, I use to be quite hesitant when booking 3 star hotels in general. That said, things happened the way they happened, and the unique concept of 21 House of Stories caught my attention... For good reason: The hotel shines in guest experience, room comfort and quality accommodation... Way more than a usual 3-star establishment does. The decoration of my room conveyed the illusion of having my very own studio in the heart of Milano.... well, with the significant difference that every morning I was awaited by a fantastic breakfast, one which in reality I couldn't even start preparing myself (yeah, at this point I rather tend to start complaining about some limited selections and whatnot.. but not even that: The breakfast was simply awesome! Basta). Outside breakfast hours, the bar downstairs offered best in class drinks, no matter if we talk about the alcoholic ones (they even offered a free drink upon check in!), or the various coffee specialities. However, when it comes to the bar, my special shoutout can't go to anyone else than to Corina, who was a superstar during my stay!! While each single member of staff is already extremely helpful and makes you feel more than comfortable (shoutouts to ALL of them), Corina really went out of her way and seemed not only super passionate about her responsibilities in, around, in front, and behind the bar, but was also very knowledgable about the selection. Above all, she basically made it impossible to have a dull moment while sipping my drink or co(z)working downstairs. À propos co(z)working: This is how they call the solution, which made my little mix of business and leisure trip exactly how I imagined it: Smooth and productive - with meeting rooms included (!).

FAQs about hotels in Lombardy

Sophisticated and Serene

The diverse region of Lombardy touches the 3 largest Italian lakes: Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore and Lake Como. Their beautiful shores house many Lombardy luxury hotels and even more luxurious celebrity residences.

The rich and famous also flock to Milan, one of the world’s fashion capitals, where designer boutiques are found alongside La Scala opera house and the iconic San Siro football stadium. To the south, Pavia is best known for its elaborate monastery, while Monza to the north-east hosts the F1 Italian Grand Prix and World Superbike Championship.

Nearby Bergamo is the hub for cheap flights to Milan and it also has a historic old town, while to its east is peaceful Lake Iseo. A smaller lake is located by Varese, and artificial lakes also almost entirely surround the important medieval city of Mantua, seat of the Gonzaga court during the Renaissance.

Brescia to the north-west has monuments dating back to Roman times, while Cremona to the south-west has an impressive cross-shaped cathedral and huge belltower. This beautiful city is on the Po, Italy’s longest river which forms part of the Lombardy border.

Wherever you are staying, Booking.com has a fantastic range of accommodation including B&Bs, apartments and hotels in Lombardy.

I have stayed in Milan so many times through business and many personal trips and still enjoy different experiences each time. So many different areas to explore, although we do have favourite areas we often revisit. Great city - people rave about Barca, but not for me - doesn’t come close to the diversity of Milano and a lot safer!

We visited the first week of November so it was not overcrowded. Don’t think it would be good during the height of the travel season. That said, we were not aware that the ferries stopped running completely in November. So if you visit them and want to see other towns around the lake having a car would be helpful. But we made the best of it by visiting the thermal baths and spa in Sirmione instead.

There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.

Tirano is a small town which has everything, largely because of its location and the Religious tourism generated by the shrine and cult of Our Lady of Tirano. An excellent base to explore the area with frequent rail connections to Switzerland and Italy. Plenty of places to eat well and inexpensively.
