I came for the second time in this hotel, (after 2 years). The receptionists spoke english this time, which was difficult last time. Reception was very friendly and pro, I had asked for a Quiet room, as at my last stay, I was next to a disco or something like that, and it was very loud all night The spa is still non-understandable, they never have space, only one person for treatments and only in the afternoon 2 - 21 open. For manicure they have 3 nail polish colors and, I found out at home, they do not come off, so they must be for acrylic nails. Massages are good. It is a very nice spa, very big but it seems not to interest the owners to make it strive, what is a pity. It seems since COVID they take on Sports clubs of children from all over Europe. There were Portuguese kids , while I was there) That will also not fill the Spa and some guests might stay away, when they see & hear all these children The hotel is close to Konin town, when one has work in town, which I had.

Perfect location, walking distance to the town centre as well as shops in other parts of town. Located right at the lake shore it's a perfect place for taking short strolls down the sandy beach or long walks/bike rides around the lake itself. The town where the hotel is located is absolutely fantastic, massive lake, surrounded by forests with many bicycle routes and wild animals (be prepared to be followed by one or two red squirrels 🤗), be catefull driving at night though as these woods are full of dear and boar.

The place is something very special. Whilst our room wasn’t all that large, it was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is like stepping back in history to a time of opulence, style and class. It has been beautifully restored and maintained and if you are looking for somewhere more than just a place to stay…somewhere you are surrounded by history and elegance, then you must make the effort to visit this hunting lodge. We also enjoyed the restaurant. The food and the staff were excellent.

The food and drinks served in the restaurant, as well as the pub, were simply extraordinary. The range of facilities / attractions (bikes, horses, golf, swimming pool, saunas, spa etc.) was enough to keep you entertained and enjoying yourself all day long. The local area has many amazing, scenic bike routes.

Quiet town with a lot of history.

Quiet town with a lot of history. Good restaurants many round the main town square. Bus travel is a bit limited due to there schedule but taxis are plentiful and travel in them cheap compared to England. Inability to speak Polish not a hindrance as many people in the hospitality industry speak English and will advise on food and drink choices if asked. But if you want to explore the surrounding area a car is essential.

Let me preface my review by saying that I'm American and I was in Piła for business. I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to explore. Overall, I thought Piła was very nice. It was pretty clean and very pretty. There's a river that runs through town and a nice trail that follows along side it. Piła is not touristy, but there are still a fair bit of people who speak English. There was only one little Kebab shop we went to where the employee spoke minimal English, but everywhere else the employees were proficient. Most places were closed on Sunday, which was unexpected. Prepare for that.

Besides the obvious attractions like 1000 y.o.

Besides the obvious attractions like 1000 y.o. Drzwi Gnieznienskie and History Museum, the trail of fun rabbit monuments all around the Old Town and lakes, there are some mor gems here to justify 2-3 day stay. We enjoyed open summer pools in the city with kids and an evening in a local brewery - both easily discoverable on google maps. Nearby (20 min drive or 15 train ride plus 1h walk) there's an opportunity for a whole day excursion to Ostrow Lednicki. It's an island reachable by short ferry ride where a Gród (a medieval Slavonic fortified settlement) remains can be found an a trail through different historic exhibits. It can take you anywhere form an hour to half day depending on your patience, walking tempo and interests. Theres also a great karczma (traditional restaurant) need by and a couple of small beaches to enjoy the lake.

People in Ostrow are extremely nice and helpful. Just lovely - whenever we went, we met nice, kind and helpful people with smiles on their faces. The city is pretty and clean. We went to attend Temple of Silence festival in Forum Synagoga, which is a beautiful building. There is plenty of places to eat and drinks, loads of boutiques and jewellery places. Really lovely town.

It was our fifth time to Poland.

It was our fifth time to Poland. Had visited Krakow, Wroclaw, Gdansk, and Warsaw previously. Christmas markets were not up to the standard advertised. Very few sellers or polish crafts. Not very interesting as a city, too little to see. We went on the 2 hour trolley tour. Guide was very informative and friendly. Tours were quite expensive, I thought. Food was lovely and the staff in the restaurants, stores, and hotel were very friendly and helpful, and oh so mannerly. A lovely race but Poznan lacked the atmosphere we had hoped for.

Kalisz is a cozy town with a river and a beautiful park. Here you can visit Catholic churches, climb to the top of the town hall and see the whole city, visit museums. Gołuchów Castle, surrounded by a beautiful park, is about a 20-minute drive away. In many places in the city you can taste interesting Polish dishes.
