This place is an absolute gem. We picked it randomly after looong journey as it was the nearest option and it was beyond anything I anticipated. Wonderful Swedish interior with personal touch and lovely details. Lots of light and wood. Cozy rooms, dining place, TV room, outdoors, just everything. We were unexpectedly offered (and ate) delicious salmon with gratine potatoes. The owner was super helpful and when my son realized he forgot his toothbrush, the next minute he had one.

We spent 3 nights at Upperud 9:9 as a family and had a fantastic experience. The location is exceptional - right by the lake, calm and atmospheric. The accommodation is comfortable and full of character. Breakfast was good, and the dinner was truly excellent. The staff were attentive and kindly accommodated our special requests, which we greatly appreciated. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable stay

Beautiful location ar the lake. Johan is a very hospitable and knowledgeable host. Great walks in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed the home made food.

Nice little town with some beautiful buildings, well kept communal spaces and gardens, lots of flowers. Enjoyable to walk around the residential areas. Nice harbour and park by the lake. Good atmosphere.

Nice little town, much more pleasant when the weather is good. It has a fair amount of facilities such as choice of food shops: Ica, Hemkop and maybe a few more. There are cafe's and restaurants, one of the favourites are Kanyans Thai restaurant and cafe. They do serve nice cakes and buns with coffee etc. It is pretty stress free driving in the area and some hidden gems in the countryside: forest area and around the beaches of Varnern: Vita Sannar. The lake Orsjon is very tranquil and pleasant for children and families alike.

Hotel is situated just beside the beatiful lake with clear water. Ambience and the view of the lake from the restaurant are very good. Breakfast and meals are good (but not many options) . We enjoyed the jacuzzi , bastu , message chair (which are booked exclusive for a family or couple). Also, we were upgraded from a standard room to a Suite with patio with covered glass and a balcony which was a real bonus. Will recommend for short & relaxing stay.

Super moose park in Ed, you pay for one day and get the next...
Super moose park in Ed, you pay for one day and get the next day for free. Really great experience. Lots of young moose, and the great Alfred ! Three times a day the feed the moose and explain/ tell you about the moose. After you visit the moosepark you can take a nice walk around the park with a a supervisor point at a lake, and after that you can enter the shop and buy your moose “memory”. Two shops Willy’s and Coop. Nice places to swim around the lake and a nice camp site.
We spotted 2 moose, in the wild, in the evening while driving from Ed to ‘Treklistan’Nature park. Around Ed there is an accuaduct/ whatterfall, lots of nature.
