This hotel is unique and exceptional. There is no reason not to stay here. Communication with the hotel was excellent, and our welcome was warm and friendly. The hotel is totally unique, and an old building where every corner has interesting features and furniture. The long walk up the wooden stairs is wonderful. The room was light, warm, comfortable, and huge. The bed was very comfortable and views over the city. Location is also perfect. There is nothing I would change, I just recommend this place

This was a lovely place that we thoroughly enjoyed, well furnished, clean, quiet, spacious, well equipped. The room itself was spacious, but there is also a large shared living area and kitchen, plus outdoor terrace for communal use and the garden area. There’s coffee and beer available for a small fee and a large fridge freezer for guest use. Private off-road parking spaces available right outside. It’s an easy 20 minute walk along a forest path to the edge of the old-town. Considerably more strenuous uphill on the way back. The owner is nearby should queries or issues arise. Wish we had time to stay for a week and really enjoy the lovely surroundings, the nearby lake, the views and the fabulous night sky. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location! The house is deep in the forest, near a small lake — very scenic, quiet, and peaceful. The cabin has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen has a sink, all the dishes and pots. Beds are comfy, there’s satellite TV and fast Wi-Fi. The bathroom has good water pressure and warm water. The entry area has heated floors. There’s a huge terrace and everything you need for a grill. Pets are allowed, which was very important for us. If you’re looking for a peaceful forest getaway far from the city — we truly recommend this place!

The receptionists were super kind and always helpful with anything I needed. The hotel itself was really nice, clean, and surprisingly quiet even though it’s right in the city center, which I loved, because everything was so close. I also really enjoyed the private wellness, it made the stay even more relaxing. The breakfast was very good, and their restaurant just a 2-minute walk from the hotel was also really nice and the food was delicious. I honestly really enjoyed my stay here. Thank you!

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was big and clean. The room had a balcony with a nice view. Breakfast was delicious. The wellness area was huge, lot of pools, saunas, jacuzzis. There are multiple options for eating. There was a really nice concert during the evening. The staff is exceptionally friendly, they gifted us with a surprise birthday gift. The location is very good, close to Zvolen in a nice rural setting.

The hotel is in a secluded part of the mountains right next to a ski slope. While the kids were skiing, we could take a walk or spend time in spa, play billiard or just relax. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, breakfast buffet was really rich and an animation programme for the kids was provided every day. All in all, this is a hotel where you can easily spend a week without getting bored.

We've been here many times before, but only at restaurant, which I also highly recommend. Rooms are comfy, spacious and the view from room's patio cannot be better. You can walk around old town during the day but for the night, this is the place to be!

History of this beautifull Slovak miners city is heart breathing, museums, caves, castles, trip to Sitno mountain or swimming in the Pocuvadlo tajch. This city never let you down. Social life highly recommend the Ruin Bar.

Our eldest son studies in Zvolen, so we chose the university first, and the city itself was a bonus for us. It is peaceful, quiet, with a wonderful climate and friendly people. The location is also excellent, with direct roads to Krakow and Bratislava. I highly recommend it.

We did the following: - Slided with bob from the hill - Travelled up and down to the mountain with Lanovka - Visit the Mini city - Rented electric bicycles and travelled to the mountains - Visit the MaraFun lake where we could have lots of fun (e.g. jetski) - Walked up to the maintains - Were watching the paragliders etc.

While walking along the main street, you can admire interesting historic buildings and have a great coffee and dessert. Lučenec offers an interesting combination of urban atmosphere and beautiful countryside in the vicinity far from major centers. Many churches and a restored large synagogue. In the vicinity rich opportunities of swimming, visiting old castles and nature reserves in the volcanic landscape of the Cerova Highlands.

I can't say anything bad because it was amazing comfortable. Everything was there what is needed. Maybe coffee for ex. 3in1 would be nice to have there which would have a small cost for the owner. 1€ aprox. For 10 sachets. But i liked the tea that was there. Overall itt was superb

Brezno is centrally located and the surrounding countryside is easily accessed. The town centre is very pleasant whilst on the outskirts there is a superb car museum. For general supplies there is a Co-Op within easy walking distance of hotel and slightly further away a Tesco.

A beautiful small city at the foothills.

A beautiful small city at the foothills. It has a lot ot cafes and all prime sight seeing locations around are well reachable. People are warm and nice and there is enough to do for all types and age groups of people. There is a sushi restaurant which is undoubtedly the best in Slovakia.

Banska Stiavnica is a beautiful city. There is much to do but we really just loved the atmosphere of the city. Our favourite was the cafes and the super restaurants so we could just relax and be together.

Zvolen is a city offering the longest car-free walking/shopping square with cafes and parks in the center. In the summer months it is warm, the sun sets down at 21:00 and no wind. The lunch costs 5 euro, you get soup & tasty warm meal, and ice cream 0,80 euro. Great value for money! The whole family of four can eat really tasty lunch incl drinks for 35 euro incl. Ice cream for all! Kovacova offers thermal swimming pool which is great for adults and kids. Parking at Europa- the shopping mall -is free of charge so do not waste money on the street. Eat at Certovska koliba near Budca, around 10km from Zvolen, all motorway, great traditional food- do not take halusky s brynzou- you like it only if you grow up in SK. Order food with meat there, always good! In the evening one meal costs just 8,30euro with 0,5 liter of kofola ( similar to cola) Enjoy!
