The hotel is gorgeous. The location is perfect, near markets, shops, laundrys, but far from noises and confusion. The breakfast is superb and the kids club is amazing (lots of games, toys, amenities and very very clean). The is beautiful and the kids pool is so much fun. Room service super fast and delicious.

It’s clean, comfortable and quiet. By motorbike it’s a short drive into the old town. Walking, a bit longer but not too bad. There is a washer and dryer you can use for a low cost and they supply free detergent. The rooms have comfortable beds, modern bathrooms and water bottles and fresh towels are replenished every day. The staff are extremely helpful. They let us keep our bags there twice while we explored other areas of the north for a few days.

The most beautiful hotel I have stayed in in decsdes. Gorgeous 1920's design, amazing room with a deep bath and window bed, glorious tropical jungle pool hideaway...just perfect. Pay the extra and stay here. Staff were amazing, breakfast was delicious, location is right in the middlenof the old city and 15 mins walk to night bazaar. Great cafés and restaurant right on the same street. You will not find a nicer boutique hotel

The location was sensational, the hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff made the visit... the rooms were spacious and clean, the rooftop was fantastic.. The hotel is a little off the beaten path however it is TOTALLY WORTH IT. A cute small independent hotel that has a touch of class, super clean with an amazing staff, .. it's the personal touch that the hotel has that makes the stay worth the visit... the rooms are well organized and clean the rooftop common area is sensational... and realistically a 5 minute walk to the main street.. or 20 second scooter ride.... this is the hotel to stay

An amazing stay at Asa Hotel. The reception staff are so friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. Its exceptional value for money, water, coffee and juices are free and available at all times in the reception fridge. Our room was comfortable, air con very good and the location was superb. Walking distance to pretty much all food markets and temples etc. Would highly recommend booking here!!!

Absolutely the most amazing stay we have had in Thailand so far (and I have veen here for more than 5 years now) 🤩 10/10!!! Great location - 15 minutes to the center of Old Town, very quiet, amazing and friendly staff, water at disposal any time and the breakfast!!! Omg!! The most tasty breakfast with great variety. Chiang Mai is the capital of north Thailand and worth a visit of a couple of weeks. Less hot and humid than Bangkok. Also calmer and friendlier. Avoid in the smoky season (April and May) when the area farmers burn off stuff they don’t like and create horrendous smog for everyone. Once the monsoon starts that goes away. Red trucks are good for getting around but you need to understand how they work. Good veggie restaurant on Monmong north of tapae gate.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!

Challenging to get there if you don't have your own transport, but you can order a taxi. Beautiful views and a small "town" where you can walk around, buy anything you need and good restaurants.

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air...

Mae Chaem is an amazing little village with great air quality, which is a rare thing in Thailand. With lots of greenery and nature trails, you'll never get bored in this place. Food is also cheap and tasty. The people are nice and always smiling. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nature retreat.

We celebrated our anniversary on the mountainside, and it was such a memorable experience. The host was incredibly kind and even surprised us with roses, which made the stay extra special 🌹 The room was clean, comfortable, and very cozy. We had the mookata for dinner, which was absolutely delicious and perfect for the cool mountain atmosphere. We did encounter a small issue with the bathtub, but the team responded quickly and fixed it right away great service and responsiveness. Overall, it was a wonderful stay with excellent hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill and relaxing homestay in the mountains. You won’t be disappointed!

The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an...

The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an excellent stay. The free bikes loan gave us independence. The Fang Hot Springs a couple of kilometres away was fun and convenient. The surrounding scenery of onion fields was very pleasant. We saw many interesting birds including the siting of an Asian Barred Owlet at our breakfast location which completed the enjoyment of our stay.

People are very friendly.

People are very friendly. Although the city is busy we found the traffic easy to navigate and drivers stopped to let pedestrians cross the road. Beautiful places to visit. Loved the waterfalls and elephant care facilities. Food was amazing and so were the massages.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting.

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.
