Diverse Sunshine State of Disney

The Sunshine State – Florida – has so much going for it that we hardly know where to begin! From Key West all the way to Jacksonville and Pensacola, this diverse state has magnificent beaches attracting beautiful people and exotic wildlife.

At its tip are the incredible Everglades, largely accessible only by air boat. East, Miami is known for its Latin American vibe and the Art Deco buildings of glamorous Miami Beach. Fort Lauderdale is nicknamed ‘Venice of America', while Palm Beach hosts the annual SunFest music festival. Panama City is a favourite Florida spring break destination, and Tampa has popular party spot Ybor City and Busch Gardens, one of many Florida theme parks.

Room was gorgeous. You can hear the waves right from your room. The artwork was exceptional. You can tell a local artist was involved with the decor. View was stunning. I also loved the connection to Opal Sol next door. Just go through the glass walkway and you have access to more pools and an even bigger gym with sunrise views. The pool was amazing - you can hear the waves crashing from your chair. Poolside menu - great and drinks food delivered right to your spot. Great service. We also used the free bikes to explore the strip.

I liked the location and the facility. The tiki bar had lots of great drinks and snacks. The staff in the resort were so friendly and helpful. I liked the shuttle they had to st Armand’s circle. The drivers were knowledgeable about the area, outgoing and friendly. The Valet staff were friendly and helpful even to guests that didn’t have a vehicle. The housekeeping staff were so friendly and did an amazing job.

We came to Orlando to see my family, we all went to the science center. We spent pretty much all day there. Then we went to Chillis for dinner. The Science center was great for the kids, very interactive! Of course, the traffic in Orlando is not fun to be in but you just have to take a deep breath and deal with it.

Miami has something for everyone!

Miami has something for everyone! We love the Jewish Museum on Washington Street. Love the beach access, even if you stay a couple blocks off Ocean Blvd, it is an easy trek to sand! There was, however, a ton of seaweed at the beach this year (early Nov) so that was kind of not great. The art deco buildings are so beautiful and there are so many! Lots of tours you can do to get the history a truly appreciate the history of this style of architecture. They have duck tours - so much fun, on land and in the bay!!! There is a free trolley that runs the full length of Washington and also goes all the way to North Miami Beach. So many great restaurants for Cuban, Italian, Mexican food and of course seafood! You can get a ride to Bayside where you can enjoy an entirely different vibe - again with tons of boating opportunities and restaurants and bars. Do Miami!!!!

Tampa traffic can be challenging but there are a lot of things to see in Tampa we were here on a medical trip so a lot of time was not given to explore. Overall the trip would have been a lot better had the stay at the hotel been such a disaster.

Kissimmee is a nice area , just like everywhere it has its areas you have to be careful. Traffic is bad but it is a tourist area so expect that. Most people are very nice and helpful you do have some that act like they hate tourist. Overall I would recommend this area, the hotels are reasonable in price and most don’t charge a parking fee which I like and think it’s stupid when they do. You will enjoy Kissimmee , every place has its ups and downs but overall it’s more on the ups.

We always enjoy visiting St Augustine. There is something for everyone and affordable for any status. If you can't find a place to eat, there's something wrong as there is no shortage of restaurants. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

We love Key West, it was our third time here.

We love Key West, it was our third time here. The laid back vibe, the many things to see and do, the weather! We came back to 7" of snow! We are sad that the Duval Loop bus is ceasing operation in January and hope they find a way to bring it back. It is an underreported gem and super helpful for people who don't want to walk or bicycle everywhere.

Jacksonville is a wonderful place to visit 😊 I like going to the beach and the flea markets when I'm there! They also have amazing places to eat and be entertained if you're interested in going out!

The Uber drivers we had were wonderful people.

The Uber drivers we had were wonderful people. We ate at a restaurant called Uptown 66, authentic Mexican. Absolutely delicious and quite inexpensive. I'd go there again in a minute! We had to hit a pharmacy - the driver was helpful and waited for my husband. We only stayed one night and were catching a cruise the next day.
