We had The loft. It was a very large apartment with two balconies and a view across the lake. The host had thought of everything we might need, including use of a washing machine and drying frame. It was spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should. We were comfortable and relaxed. The experience helped us to feel rested and refreshed for our next journey along the garden route. The host was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Rita and Nick's hospitality is incredible. We arrived sick with a stomach virus and they helped us at all times. They even sent us messages after our stay to ask how we were: a very thoughtful touch. The place is very cozy and is right in front of the beach. The area is so beautiful that it deserves to be explored.

We enjoyed our stay, its a pity we only stayed for just a few nights, wished we stayed the whole festive. The staff very friendly and accommodating. Our daughter enjoyed the trampoline and loved picking up flowers and roses.

I visited Wilderness not as a tourist or holidayer but to visit cherished friends who live on Lake Road. That said, I found Wilderness very appealing with lots of things to do for those who are so inclined; a number of very good restaurants certainly appealed to me. Naturally for me, I find the bustle of holiday season a little wearing but acknowledge that is a must for local merchants.

I liked that it’s not very busy. The transport network looked great. Didn’t see taxis creating havoc on the roads. I didn’t like the fact that driving from Knysna to airport I couldn’t find a petrol station to fill up the car

place was stunning, however when i booked was noted we had to vacate the place between 8-12am, we had cleaning staff demanding we leave at 9.30 so they can clean as new tenants arrive at 2.. we were intending to leave at 10, they could not wait and insisted to invade our space. very unnecessary as the cabin was kept as we found it. i think the maids must understand we are the paying customer not them. bit of a spoiler. the host michelle was very attentive and gracious. thank you michelle for the response on the call out too😉 to brian and verner can see you have a close family and have had wonderful times have memories... luv that.

Comfortable beds and rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Able to enjoy nature. Food was tasty and great variety available. Lovely walk on the property. Nice camping ground available with each site having it's own ablutions.

The quietness of the location as well as the ease of access to other areas. close to some very good restaurants (we did not try them all). we had many whale and dolphin sightings as well as abundant bird life.

Hoekwil is beautiful with lots to see - there is a big tree nearby which you can visit (make sure to wear comfortable shoes). There are also a few nice places to eat, drink coffee and enjoy the quiet surrounds. The accommodation in the area is also very nice and neat.

Recommended for those travellers to do a quality stop over or spend some quality time together for a couple of days. Beautiful view of the sea and the sunset is amazing. Then you have Nerinne and Danie to make you feel at home. You have all the facilities right there to braai and kuier.

A quaint village with great restaurants, an excellent beach and friendly people and only 15 minutes away from the greater town of George. Wilderness is the Jewel of the Garden Route as far as I am concerned.

George is a wonderful starting point for exploring the beautiful Garden Route. A variety of activities, like the southern hemisphere's biggest hedge maze, proximity to Wilderness and Victoria Bay and some lovely restaurants makes for a great stop.
