Fantastic experience, what a pleasure it was to be looked after by these amazing students. The fact that the resort teaches sustainability and permaculture just add so much to the overall experience and it makes so much sense. Even if we are not fluent in English, everyone was very kind and my husband who is not used to traveling abroad, enjoyed our stay. The butlers were always looking out for us and were quick to arrange various activities. The villa was beautiful and comfortable. It was a dreamy sight to see horses running around on the beach. Of course, we would like to visit often in the future.

It's simply a gem in the middle of the nature, facing the ocean with a beautiful beach. They build some chairs made of tree branches overlooking the ocean, where you can sit and sip a cup of tea while watching the sunset... The rooms are so nice with the round shape and all the colors, and taking a shower with the morning sun rays (or while watching the stars) is another nice plus... And maybe they hide an Italian chef somewhere in the kitchen, because I had the best pasta of the last 5 months 😄 Can't recommend Oro Beach Houses enough and I hope that I can come back one day... Thank you so much for having created this magical place with so much soul and charm 🙏

A real paradise on Sumba! Crystal clear water, peaceful atmosphere, and excellent service. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, especially at sunset. This hotel was amazing for us. The design is in local style, very natural and beautiful, so we felt the real spirit of Sumba. The room was clean and comfortable, and the food was always tasty. The staff were kind and smiling all the time. Around the hotel there are wonderful trips. To small villages, to the beach, and into the nature. The sunset view in the evening was something we will never forget.

What we really liked is the hospitality in this resort. Ben helped us a lot with looking for nice locations to go to. The food was also really good. The owner is Italian so the pasta is on point. The room was clean with an excellent working AC (pretty special when in Indonesia if you ask me). The shower pressure and temperature were also perfect. Thank you and we hope to see you again!
