During my trip to Polonnaruwa, my car broke down in Habarana, forcing me to stay overnight. I booked a room at Gabaa Resort, and it turned out to be a fantastic experience despite the unexpected situation. The staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help me find a reliable garage and get my car fixed promptly. The room was clean and comfortable, providing much-needed relaxation. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, exceeding my expectations. Though my stay was brief, the exceptional service and hospitality left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Rock Villa Relax City Resort tiene vistas a la montaña y se encuentra en Mihintale. Cuenta con restaurante, cocina compartida, bar, jardín, terraza y zona de juegos infantil. the owner was super helpful, the breakfast was superb. Room was clean and the AC was working very well. Good location to explore the Mihintale temple (walking distance)

El Levona Garden Resort se encuentra en Habarana, a 1,2 km del lago Habarana y a 15 km del monasterio forestal de Ritigala. El establecimiento alberga un restaurante. This is a family run hotel the family and their hotel are beautiful, the two sons have such a soft and calming approach they made our stay truly wonderful, nothing was to much, but such kind and lovely people. We had dinner cooked for us by them on second night and it was delicious. Not only that the cabin we stayed in was unreal, honestly if you are looking at this property please book you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making are stay so wonderful Ryan & Laura

La entrada del hotel no refleja el interior del mismo..Todo muy familiar, una experiencia excepcional por el trato dado por los anfitriones, un excelente desayuno y cena realizado por la propietaria. Fuimos recibidos por un batido de bienvenida y su marido nos acerco en coche a la zona de monumentos sin cobrarnos nada. Totalmente recomendable.

The natural beauty of Habarana feels like an Amazonian escape—serene, refreshing, and full of charm. Whether it’s relaxing by the lush greenery, enjoying their delicious meals, or simply soaking in the tranquility, every moment at Ambasewana Resort is a memory to cherish. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway that combines comfort, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back—and next time, it’ll be for much longer!

Habarana Tree house Mutu village, que cuenta con jardín, terraza y restaurante, se encuentra en Habarana y está a 11 km de Pidurangala Rock. We upgraded to the A-frame tree house with a private pool a few days before arrival, and it was the best decision. The pool was the perfect size to cool off for our family of five. We loved our stay here. While this hotel might be a bit further from Sigiriya, they organised a driver in a safari jeep to take us where we needed to go. We also went on a game drive to a nearby national park, which was amazing; we saw so many elephants. You can walk into some local shops as well. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and both were really good—best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka.
